Update #1 Introduction.

Welcome to the soon to be exploding city of

                 Danbury

The Nation of Auburn is running dangerouly low on oil reserves. The only city that can save this country's economy is the region of Danbury. Large oil reserves have been found off the shores of the Danbury region. The shallow coast holds one of the worlds largest untapped oil reserves.

The red outline is the area kown to have oil underneath, the yellow squares are proposed oil rigs.

Currently, the only city near the oil reserves is Danbury. A small city centered around a large factory. The factory is surrounded by a ring of samll shops, aswell as civic centers like Danbury elementary.

Danbury has no government currently, the city is run by a small group of wealthy elite. The possiblilty of large oil profits comming to the city could cause a protest for a change in governmnt.

A site has been chosen for a large oil refinery and oil rig. Just a kilomter away from Danbury.

Watch for more updates soon as this small city booms. Oil rigs and refineries will be built, the population will explode and the government will be taken down. There is much to come in the city that oil will build.

    Update #2 The Oil boom.

            Danbury

Three months after oil was discovered in the Gulf of Danbury Oil construction projects have sprutted up all around the city. The oil production projects are being conducted by the countries largest oil company

    norwellou8.jpg

I have displayed the oil development project in the steps to show the contruction.

    Step I: The Oil Rig

A large norwell oil rig was lowered peice by peice into the shore off of Danbury. This is the first time oil has been extracted from the Gulf.  Oil retreived from the rig will be shipped to the next step.

    Step II: The Docks

A large dock has been built on the shore so the oil can be taken from the rig to the refinery which, once the project is completed will stand behind the docks. Large oil tankers can commonly be seen on the docks. The oil from here will be shipped to the rest of the country or sent to the next step.

    Step III: The storage tanks.

The first step of making the refinery is building large oil storage tanks to hold the oil until it's refined. A rail system has also been set up to export all products. Oil will be stored and sent to the next step.

    Step IV: The Refinery

The refinery has finnaly been finished, the first barrels of oil will be sent by rail and ship to the rest of the country.

    Step V: The Finishing Touches

The final touches to the refinery have been finsihed. The most notable is the large fence put around the refinery.

Here a view of the completed project at the present time.

The opening of the refinery is in only one month away. The city is expected to explode. The oil industry will create thousands of jobs. many other petroeleum industries as well as stores are atractted to this exploding economy. There is even talk of  of a large headquaters building of Norwell Production Co to be built with the decade. The building could be over 40 stories.

Now you can be part of Danburies economic explosion by buying stocks of Norwell Production Co. Danbury's largest company.
    norwellml0.jpg

Here's how it works, ach person gets 20000 dollars to purchase in stocks. The stock prices will go up and down with the price of the oil it sells. The current price of one stock is $200 the price of stocks will be updated around every three or four days.

To buy stocks just post a message that says how many stocks you want to buy. The number of stocks sold will also influence the economy of Danbury.

Once a couple of people have bought stocks i'll post up a chart so everyone can see the price of your stocks and how much money you've lost or gained. I will keep count of everyone's stocks and stock prices.

By the way a update for Danbury will be posted tomorrow.

i hate when we get money in CJs. Its so hard to pick what to buy!!

btw i think in your title, "the city that oil made" should go under Topic Summary. nothing against it other than its really bugging me for some reason.
