VDK's GLR Skins

I have downloaded some of VDK's GLR skins from SC4D because the files on the STEX are locked., as well as the Max Pax GLR skins from STEX, and when I try to put them into my game they show up as black.blue/green/red boxes. This does not happen with the El-Train skins or any other skins that I have tried, just the ones based on Vester's models. I have SC4 Deluxe with the SKU1 and BAT updates. Everything else shows up fine. No conflicting plugins because it happens even when it is the only plugin besides the NAM20 and RHW13 in the folder. Any ideas why this is?

The images for the models are 512x512, which only show up properly on computers running the game with Hardware rendering selected. In Software rendering, you will see the multicolor patches. Under Options (...) in the game, you can set the rendering mode. If your computer doesn't support hardware rendering, I'd suggest finding a different tram mod to use until these are updated.

Hmm... I didn't know that those would do that, I'll see how many more people are having this problem. I haven't changed the rendering mode since I got the gam ein early '04. So hardware rendering must be the default, can your computer support it?

Thanks for the tips. I'll look at my rendering when I get home. My computer should be able to support it, it did in the past. Of course the game has been running a little faster since I re-installed. Maybe I'll leave it at the software level and put the skin back to the Bart Talent. That one seems to render just fine the way it is. Has anyone seen VDK around recently to ask him about putting software supported skins on?

Hardware rendering is much faster than software mode. If your computer supports it, you should use it.

It works but because of my crap integrated graphics it slows my game down alot. So back to software I go.

Well I hang around SC4D more than here, that is why the files here are locked.

I wonder why you ask the questions here instead of SC4D.

I might do some low graphic version of it. Let me know which trams you are using.
