Population has finally hit a Million People.

I can't say that I'm not proud of myself. This is the first time I actually achieved a million people total, since I got the game a few years ago. The city is Rixis, and the actual Region Population has gotten almost a million and a half.

The main city in the middle is a large map, which is called Rixis. I haven't zoned everything yet, but I plan to, and I'm estimating I might have only a few more hundred thousand people. (Before, I estimated that I'd get a million people only after I zone everything)

I'm actually quite surprised and pleased. I wouldn't think I would hit a million yet, but here it is. The city has around a 450k~ commercial population, and a 40k~ Hi-Tech Industrial.

Impressive! I've had the game since it first came out and have yet to hit a million! My larges region only hit 330,000 or something. Unfortunately, I'm quite often plauged with RLS, so I don't have that much time to focus on my poor cities. Oh well, nice job, and welcome to Simtropolis!!

wow congrats dude. i just got 450,000 in one city today. im proud. only owned the game for 3 weeks. but i did use to play sim city 3000.

Wowzers, the msot ive ever got in one tile without the game crashing was 150K, but iv ehad regions of 2 million.

Wow, that looks alot like one of my older cities. Gerat job on the 1,000,000 mark. I've had a city up to 1.2 million but my regions 10 million

My largest city (Elleson) only has a population of 380K, and my region's population (Genesis, Nebraska) is almost 4.7 million people, complete with a Fukitol farm city!

hehe great job, i have just 2 regions that are over a million ( one is multiple cities centers: like you can see on the Ruhr region in Germany) The oldest one is 1,6 million for the region and for the one looking like the Ruhr kinda cities its almost 3 millions....but i got tired to play with it LOL...until i want to play with it again

Congratulations!!  Nice job.  Thanks for posting some pictures too (always like the pics).  My region of En Gedi is only at 600,000.  Hopefully some day I will reach a million sims.

Congrats man.The most I've ever had was about 400,000 but I usually delete or restart my cities before they can get big like yours.

not to bad, reaching a million is a huge milestone, after u completly max out ur city u should start some urban renownal projects, start using custom made content

I remember, after hitting 4 million regional and 1,4 million in the largest city (large tile - 50% water, 20% commercial) and then.... I lost the city!

BTW: why don't you create a cj?

Goodjob, I hit 3.4 million people in one of my regions. I build the city and then make really dense areas of homes in between the suburbs and the city. Then I build farming communities outside of the suburbs. Like a realistic city

a very nice but busy city - congratulations for hitting a million. They should make a club or a list of names on Simtropolis of people that have reached a million sims in their region. Perhaps I'll make one but where should I post it?

Congratulations on the million. I also agree you should create a CJ. The highway and avenue system in the city looks interesting, wouldn't mind seeing it close up. Also, I like that you don't have too many bridges in the city. It's quite possible to achieve good traffic flow with a limited number of bridges if the system is well laid out. Good luck with this city into the future.
