There's the development! I enjoyed reading the newspaper, BTW (you could still improve on it). As for your 2 screenshots idea, I'm not really sure but there's no harm in trying it out in the next update. People will tell you if they like it or not (harmlessly). It's up to you.

Thankyou for your comments...Yes I might try the 2 screenshots idea but I might make it three instead. I think I will just screen anything which I think will be interesting. Please also could you tell me how I could improve 'it' as I will take that on board. Thankyou. Ok thanks for your comment jac I will include more night pics and if were lucky I might even be able to post DAY 4 today! I promise you though I must make it more interesting somehow...Well see anyway thanks for all your comments so far and i'll get to work!

If you can, try to make it look more like a real newspaper (you know; the heading, paragraph arrangement, pictures mixed with the paragraphs. Things like that).

I won't be disappointed if you don't do it 5.gif. I know how hard and time consuming it is to make authentic-looking newspapers and the like. I'm making a magazine cover for my CJ and I'm having difficulty with the color schemes alone 43.gif.

    Looking forward to next update.

Ok people, please don't kill me but its for the better! Waterfall Gardens Central is driving me insane I seem to be trying to create a city on the top of a mountain which as im sure you all know if no easy task! If you will I want to propose an idea to help improve this CJ and make it more interesting for you all. I would like to have another shot at making this CJ! I will not close this thread and it will continue as it left off (Day 4) although day 4 the whole place wil start again and this time I will make sure it isn't 50000ft up! It will mean I can make this CJ more interesting and update more often and plus before I start on update 4 I will try and download some new mods to improve it all! There will be a great night life too! Ok well thats it for this message...Im going out now thankyou for your support and comments and please reply to this one as I need as many views as I can get! Thankyou.

    Mankk

P.S As you know this is my first CJ so I am still getting used to things, I think I jumped in at the deep end and building on hills is too hard!

Having just seen this CJ, I was surprised by your choice of terrain. Such hilly terrain was one hell of a challenge. Fascinating CJ anyway so congrats on what you achieved with it. PS: Not having read lots of CJs, The dam you created was spectacular as I'd not seen one before in SC4. Does the dam provide power and water or just power?

Anyway, good luck with your next CJ 2.gif

ok here goes my friend, keep a little hilly terrain because that will give it character and you could allways build a castle or monastary on it,but the hilly terrain can taper of evenly so you can have a windy road going up it to whatever you decide to have on the top, flatten around it so that you can grow or build houses, farms, commercial or industry, but start small and work your way up,if you can have a focal piont to build around like a waterfall or dam or even a tower ect,i liked your dam and waterfall, get a terrain and rock mod and if you are keeping the water or terraforming a river in use a water mod,i think you will do and have done a fantastic start dont get dissheartened we all start and then dont like what we have done, and with practice it gets easier.

I wouldn't change it very much. I agree working on a hill is very challenging (which is why almost anything I do is completely flat). Don't be discouraged if your town isn't very big. So far, Waterfall Gardens reminds me of a small resort town tucked away in the hills, much like Branson, Missouri. Branson is not a very big town, but it is very hilly and very beautiful.

Honestly this is one of the best starts I've ever seen for someone that's never had a CJ. One of the best things you're doing is taking people's advice. It's amazing how quickly you intalled a terrain mod after someone suggesting it. Remember that you don't have to take EVERY suggestion...but also remember that you've already inspired someone else's CJ (Lagoon Island by Jono01).

Keep up the great work. And don't be afraid to plop a building if it looks good somewhere rather than having to grow it.

    Day 4!

    Replys:

Hey today im not going to reply to all your posts as I have started my whole CJ again although I hope I don't disappoint you by changing things. I still have the same concept and I am keeping many things. The only thing is the hilly terrain I made too hilly... This time though theres hills and other different parts, which should make 'New Waterfall Gardens' a good success...I will continue to update as much as possible everyday/every other day. I have made it so that the population should be larger and I should be able to forfill needs slightly better. It is also hopefully just as scenic as the old waterfall gardens central!

    About this update:

This update is a big one with the most pictures I've ever had in an update! I hope you will enjoy it and like it as much or even more than before, so without further ado lets begin...

    Day 4!

    From the beginning...

    i421304_1..jpg

This is the ocean which will soon turn into the new waterfall gardens!

    i421307_4..jpg

    i421306_3..jpg

    i421305_2..jpg

Terraforming is finished so they were pictures of the place before it had anything built on it!

    i421308_5..jpg

Here I have started the new dam.

Mayor mankk "waterfall gardens is a very eco-friendly place and we wish to keep it that way..."

    i421309_6..jpg

Here is the dam being leveled out and more scenic...

    i421326_7..jpg

The dams are now in place...

Mayor mankk "Get that water into place and make sure those animals are kept safely in the wild!"

    i421327_8..jpg

They now have all there water safely in place and the animals have been moved to a just as nice habitat.

    i421328_9..jpg

Adding flora so the birds can all move back in...

Mayor mankk "I heard a long time ago this used to be the site of the famous moai heads, moai are those weird heads you sometimes see on islands with long faces..."

    i421329_10..jpg

The dams are now finished and im starting to construct the new station.

    i421330_11..jpg

There is now a frieght station there so that industrial buisness will get help.

Mayor mankk "Did I hear the word industrial...? Make sure its all high tech or farms!"

    i421331_12..jpg

The station is now finished with all its flora in place...

    i421340_13..jpg

I've started planning for a new SpringDale district resedential...

    i421341_14..jpg

Finally at day break the zoning is in place...

    i421342_15..jpg

Flora and a small comercial district to add on so that all the locals can get there grocerys...(Freshly grown ofcourse)

    i421343_16..jpg

Mayor mankk "Ahhh...thats what I like to see, people moving in to waterfall gardens central! Make sure they all know that were eco-friendly and to recycle. Im sure they do as there is a dam to provide powerw which is a big hint im sure."

    i421344_17..jpg

A small golf course has been erected for all the local citizens to play at, im sure the mayor will be pleased if we get into the championships at waterfall gardens golf tournament.

    i421345_18..jpg

Day time again and I think the golf course is looking good with all its flora in place.Might pop down there myself and have a little game later...

    i421359_19..jpg

A more focused picture of the golf course...

    i421362_22..jpg

Here is just a last little pic of a close up, of the top of the dam!

Thankyou for reading don't forget to look at whats...

    Coming next:

Well that ends todays update I hope you liked it and the new waterfall gardens...However do you wan't to know whats coming in day 5?

Well you can expect to see a canal being erected...more of a city center but still seperate eco-friendly neighbourhoods of-course. A waterfall gardens newspaper(revamped!) Also the real deal waterfall gardens themselves!

If you can't wait till then I have 2 teaser pics for you!

    i421360_20..jpg

    i421361_21..jpg

Here you go and see you next week...

    Thankyou

    Mankk

P.S I hope you like the new waterfall gardens as much or more than before now...lol. Bye.

hey good update, i saw less zots and stuff. the dam looked good, but where is the water flowing from? also where do those train tracks lead to? they just loop around and head back to the same station(I guess it would make a nice amusment park ride for the kids tho!) Your city developing looks nice though i like the golf course.
