newbie needs help

when i download a building i dont know were to put it can you help me and i have put it in plugins and when i play the game i cant see the structuers and one was a box pleas help

1. Which building did you download?

2. Did you read the readme file that probably came with the building? Does it mention any dependencies? A large part of the user created buildings need these support files.

I dont think it will be a problem in the building. You might need to un-zip it or instal it. As for the box, you are missing some dependancies. You can find a list of them in pop-up window where you downloaded them.

I think its a problem with missing dependencies. If there is no readme and no listing in the STEX description, try running it through the SC4 Tool dependency scanner. That might give you a clue as to what's missing.

Also check that your city detail is set to high. If you installed the updates from the Maxis website it gets reset to low.
