Making your sims move out?

So I finally got a good region going with a few good cities; I usually get frustrated and give up. But not this time, we've got something good going (fiannaly).

My question is this: I put a little development in one of my cities and it's become a real problem (design-wise). I had made this little plan up of where I wanted to go with my city, and this development really departs with this plan. Now I want to get rid of it. Should I just bull-doze it to get rid of it, or is there a way I can get those sims to move out? I've cut of the water and the roads, but those little buggers are persistent and stick around. Is it easier to just bulldoze it? Does my mayor rating get affected?

Any help would be great. Thanks y'all.

Well, if you really want to get them to leave, cut the power. That's the only guaranteed way to make a building abandon.

But why bother? In fact, forcing a building to abandon by denying services will hit your mayor rating hard. Just bulldoze. There's no negative impact.

Put the toxic waste dump next to it. That's good for clearing out sims...

Just bulldoze them. Sims have no feelings. But, don't do too much at a time. Your RCI will become unbalanced. And that's really not good.

Bulldozing is clearly the way to go.  It's faster, more fun 11.gif, and doesn't affect your mayor rating becasue the sims that lose their house simply "move out".

The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older.  Shorter of breath, and one day closer to death."

Thanks everyone; I figured that was the easiest way to go, but wasn't sure if that would have an adverse affect on my mayor rating. Guess not!
