    lrfox: agreed.

i did some work on the entrance part, maybe some things could be tweaked. I also started some nightlights on the entrance just to see what i could do, i ts pretty good but i think it goes out too far.

the bridge across needs to be a lighter color so it shines more. as you could guess., i will make larger versions by copying the top 4 floors and stacking them on top. im going to have a small(this) medium, 4 floors, tower , 8 floors and skyscraper 16 floors.(not exactly a skyscraper) the 16 floors isnt really common for an office park though in my area, which im basing these on. the wayne center in lowell may be 16 floors though.

there's another suburban office in burlington that i bet is pushing 16 floors. it used to be bank of america, it's TD Banknorth now, right off of 128. i bet it's that tall.

in anycase, it'll be interesting to see how that looks at 16 floors, that's kind of a funny shape for 16 floors.

My new building is in Hartford, Connecticut

Patriots:I reckon the entrance roof should be gray as it is but the main roof should be changed to match it

really? i changed it to brownish and it looks good. the reason i didn't do gray on the main roof was cuz than the corners where the roof and walls met looked ugly.

well for some reason im faithfully following flying elvis(who put that there, seriously) , but i think im going to aim to finish this project by tuesday. im going away for saint pattys day weekend, but hopefully can spend tues and monday getting it ready for the STEX. After that I will take a quick break to get a CJ up on ST, then I will do Quincy market, the medium office park, and than the Mount Washington Hotel, while at the same time doing some other things.

Cool. looking forward to it. seems like everything is slowing down here at simtrop. BATers have left for other sites (Simgoober, JBsimio, Pegasus, etc) or been stricken with Real Life... Scotty seems to be busy as well. I hope this is just a busy time of year and not a continuing trend. But in anycase, Patriots- i'm looking forward to this building. I was in Burlington for the first time in a long time yesterday (went to the Rainforest Cafe with my girlfiend... kind of cool actually) but i spent a lot of time checking out suburban buildings in that area and decided we need more of them.

As far as new BATers go, i have been toying w/ GMAX for over a year and coming up with some cool stuff. unfortunately i don't have a powerful enough PC (College issued Dell Inspiron 600m) to render nice buildings, nor do i have the money at the moment to drop into a good program (3dsmax anyone?). This summer i'm moving in with my lady and getting a nice new fancy desktop and i MAY buy a new program and producing more serious buildings. but until then i can only help scouting for NEBB

    looking forward to this building

    good news, and some better.

good news- got medium done and small exported.

Better news- I was having LOD problems with the lotting(every prop slipped under the building) so i guessed how to make LODs by yourself and it worked i think, we'll have to see in game first though.

well i wait for a reply from scotty about jobs in BATs, ill start my next project. The Mount Washington Hotel is located next to bretton woods at the bottom of NEw Englands largest mountain, Mount Washington. i was there last weekend, and i swear to god that place is haunted. (it was on one of the travel channel haunted hotel things too!)

    Office parks up this weekend??

Ive got one really good pic of how you can set them up with some parking garages and parks.

i just transit enabled it so the driveup thing matches the road now, it doesnt in the pic.

Hotel_basking_web.jpgits my toughest project yet but hopefully mybest. i will also be doing taller versions of the office park in between.

Patriots. love the Suburban buildings. the Mount Washington Hotel is fantastic. fun place to stay year round. I havn't been there in some years since my family bought a house near Sunday River (Maine) and i go to school in Maine as well. But i used to love it, and i loved skiing Bretton Woods (and attitash too). I can't wait to see your adaption of this.

sometimes i feel like im posting to myself lol.

Mount washington is too blurry on google earth so im going to do fenway, where the pics on GE are good. I no guitarist is doing it, but he hasnt update in months, so im gonna go ahead.

heres the feild, just dirt, no grass, not textured, i just want to no if ive got it right. I measured the wall segments to the hundreths but the angles might be off.

k i found the mistake on the feild, the right feild part doesnt slant down enough. i fixed it though.

Fenway is even better. i think the game needs it and i havn't seen guitarist's version updated in forever, so go for it. It's gonna be difficult cuz it's a quirky ballpark, but your layout looks close enough. that right field corner is probably the hardest part to do accurately. good luck man.

i didnt like my guesstimation so i made a rectangle with the ticket map on it, made the rectangle large enough, and just traced the feild. ill show pics soon it looks better than up there.

You should search google images for fenway stadium.  There are a bunch of field diagrams you can use.  I found one, but it was the wrong format or I would have uploaded it here.

There are some problems with your fields' shape.  There are no straight lines, they should all be arcs and quarter circles near the bases.  The bases themselves are way too big, and home plate is the wrong shape.  Also, bases are aligned on the baseline, not centered on it.  Second base does not face homeplate, but first and third base.  Warm-up circles should be much farther back and coaches box needs to be much bigger and longer.

Those are the obvious mistakes, no offense is meant, but I know baseball fields relatively well.  Nice idea and I am sure it will turn out great.  Good luck!

Agreed with gshmails... some of the proportions are off. to get a good example of field textures and setup, look at SCBA's newer fields. I'd also change the subtitle of your thread to say that you're doing fenway to increase interest and entice other BATers to look at the thread.

I think you have the general shape down but another thing i'd add is that the right field corner is curved, not a straight line. that's what makes it difficult to field balls hit to that corner.

I can't wait to see how this turnes out.

yea this is alot harder than i thought. i was thinking it would be a breeze after I got the feild down but it requires alot of guess and stuff.

gsmails- agreed on allmost everything but i measured the warmup circles and boxes, those are fine. But im redoing it because obviously theres too many mistakes.

anyone have ideas on how i can do this?? im going to check out guitarist's thread.
