Well, after a few updates it's been a pretty eventful weekend in the Roselle Metro Area... but as all Mayors I'm obligated to send back some personal replies so here they are:

jacqulina- thanks for the great comments, jacky. I can't help myself sometimes when I destroy things, I guess 3.gif

ky72x- thanks kyle, I'm glad you like the storyline 9.gif

RushHourFreak- great luck so far thanks rush. Don't worry, alot more coming 2.gif

BlondeTwiggy- lol, yeah I got a CJ now, pretty amazing huh? I've wanted to show people my knack for destroying small towns with tornadoes for some time now 3.gif

Menotyou- thank you, I try hard on those pictures 4.gif

infinitum19- thanks for dropping by 4.gif

cityhawk- thanks for the great comments, my friend. No offense taken trying to advertise your dead CJ's 3.gif

Cjah- don't worry, the town will be much better prepared next time 2.gif
Anyway, thanks for your imput and I hope you drop by again soon.

Dr.Gonzo- yes, some work went into the small town, but more time to make the tornadoes... thanks for your comment!

crazychickensc12- thank you chickens. I hope mine is as successful as yours 4.gif yeah, that twister was a killer to make, about 2 hours to get it just right.

football_fever- yes, small town + tornado = one interesting story I guess. It's a great equation, isn't it? Anyway, thanks for your feedback 4.gif

Nardo69- thanks! It's pretty rural out there, but it's pretty dense the closer you get to Downtown.. And way too many railroad crossings, I know 46.gif

MadTV_Freak- thanks martin, i'm glad you came to see it 9.gif

owenluby- don't worry owen, there's plenty more where that came from!

bigfatpaulie- thanks for your nice comments, I hope you visit again soon 4.gif

Well, I'm going to work on the next update, so thanks everyone for your great comments and keep 'em coming because there'll be much more to see, I promise you 4.gif

I hope you're looking for more than just two more pages; you should have said, "Here's to two more, times two-hundred!"3.gif

Your last update was definitely a killer! Nice destruction (now how oxymoronic is that?!)! I do have a question, though, about the RL pics: Where in RL were those pics taken?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to more!

Well, it's been some time now, and after the destructive phase of me is passed out in the other room, I thought you'd like to see some other kinds of pics, so here you are! 3.gif

    Roselle-Jun-2.jpg
A bright sunny day, taken from the WROS News chopper, too bad about the glare from the sun...

A closeup of "The Christmas Strip." During the Holiday Season, these houses light up an excess of 1.2 million lights extending several blocks.

Sunset along Granger Avenue, just east of downtown.
    Roselle-Jun-6.jpg
    Looking northeast along Route 53.
    Roselle-Jun-7.jpg
    Another beautiful sunset in suburbia.

Very nice pics, Kippis! The downtown looks very nice, especially with the avenue tunnel, and the rest of Roselle is very pretty as well with or without that great photoshopping! I look forward to more!

BTW, I'm the one who chose the last choice on the poll!3.gif

There's only one vote for that at this time.

Wow, those pictures are really nice 4.gif My fave is the first, with the plush colours and the sunspots 4.gif PHOTOSHOP ROCKS!!!

Oh, and i LOVED That tornado! I am in love with disasters, and you made it seem really realistic, instead of just, WHOOSH TORNADO and ruins.

Which is weird, usually ive got no interest in rural settings, or small city-ish themes...

So kudos to you, youve caught my interest, and this is one CJ i am subscribing to 2.gif

    Cheers and UPDATE SOON!

I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something sincerely American and incredibly realistic about the pics you've shown.

    Great work!

Thanks everybody for the great comments, I really appreciate it 4.gif
Anyway, after almost 5 days and no update, I think it's about time for a new one.

Well, the Holidays have officially arrived in Roselle after a long week cleaning up in the devestated northern parts of the county after the twin tornadoes touched down there. And a status of affected areas:

    Total deaths: 18
Estimated and/or assesed cost in damages: 4.7 million USD
    Structures damaged: 56
    Structures destroyed: 90
    Lifespan of tornadoes:
First: touched down at 3:44 PM CDT and travelled a distance of 31 miles, crossed Hillview and Roselle Metro Area, dissipated at 4:40 PM in Wasco. Rated F3 on Fujita Scale.
Second: touched down at 3:52 PM CDT and travelled a distance of 65 miles, crossed over Hillview, Roselle, Crescent Hills, Creighton District... dissipated at 5:09 PM in northern Roselle Township. Rated F5 on Fujita Scale.
Percentage Displacement of families: 0.97% total over 100 square mile radius.
Setback in Roselle Financial Pool: 3.4% for 2006-2007 fiscal year.

With that aside, let us focus on the Holiday Season and fast-approaching Christmas with some pics from around town:
    Roselle-Jun-10.jpg
The car dealerships are looking to grab some attention from the customers as the model year ends on most cars.
    Roselle-Jun-11.jpg
Some businesses, as well as the United Methodist Church of Roselle have also decked the halls, as well as the Roselle Recreational Committee and the Urban Beautification Board putting up lighted wreaths along major thuroughfares throughout the city. (look at the lamp posts)

As the year comes to a close, we also have a Festival of Lights which takes place on Granger Avenue on December 1st of every year, no matter what the weather. 2.gif This year, approximatley 6.5 million lights twinkle across the boulevards and tree lined roads everywhere in downtown...
    BloomingtonChristmasLights.jpg
Turner Park Road, picture taken on December 13th, 2001.

Roselle also holds a contest for the city's best decorated house, with a $50,000 grand prize for first place. Simply enter in your house's address and phone number and you are automatically entered in for a chance to win.

    First Place: $50,000 USD
    Second Place: $25,000 USD
    Third Place: $10,000 USD

    Here's last year's winner:

And finally, some random shots I felt like putting in...
    Roselle-Jun-12.jpg
The Roselle Hotel & Convention Center
    Roselle-Jun-13.jpg
"Made In Oregon" Department Store, located at 7507W Olcott Avenue.
    Roselle-Jun-14.jpg
    Historical buildings in Downtown...

Well, that concludes this update, hopefully the next one will come shortly 3.gif
