Wow I didn't know rural areas are so popular on Simtropolis! Altough I have no time for a proper update or replying on your comments I wanted you to give something so here are two new regional views, current population is around 1.800.000. Hope you like them. The program to make these shots is called RegionCensus and my terrainmod is Colombus Meadow Shire. Oh and... when I have more free time Im planning for a giant update with lots of detail shots and a very very special suprise (I hope it will be).

As a not too much unknown rural CJer by myself I can assure you that a good rural layout always will find its audience! ...

I like not only that region view but also your traffic view as the layout of both highways and railways seems to be more than just adequate!

Is ?t possible that you upload the full scale - maps and set a (thumbnail)-Link to them? I do it myself too, should be possible with imageshack.

What tree mod/textures did you use? I'm about to start my Swiss re-creation - it would be nice to know these things!

I want alpine evergreen trees for middle and upper elevations and deciduous for lower elevations - no palms! Scrubby shrubs for the highest elevations. Thanks.

Also, are you using the limestone rock textures?  Who makes these/how can you get them?

I'm really looking forward to an update whenever you get a chance!

Wow, that's looks amazing! My goal is to actually fill a region like you have. Funny that in many years playing SC4, I've never done that. lol Anyway, I can't wait to see more of your region!

I think what people like is rural done *well*. Also, it always looks good when the rural/urban transition is 'natural'.

Ok, I also have a question: I'm trying to use Kwakelaar Farms only now as well, but can't get it to work. Is there a mod I can install to not let the Maxis farms pop up?

Sorry people but due to a new job I had not had many time for my CJ. To make it up a little bit here is a small night-mosaic showing the towns of Villeneuve le Comte, Metsion, Renard en Comte and La Ritieux. I Hope you like the spatial layout.

wow thanks! About the double tunnel.. I am not sure anymore but with leveling the upper and lower level it should be possible. Just give it a try mayeb it will take some times. Benedict .. well who knows .. open space becomes rare in the region. But environmentalist organisations are well organized. I heard some rumours about a large recreation area though
