My completely unrealistic new overpass area:

testcityjan100121321210mo6.jpg

It has monorail, el-rail, and rail crossing GLR, a street, and an elevated highway!

how are you making these overpasses/bridges over gaps with concrete on either side of the gap and the game allowing you to place roads/rail below?

@e-b-e

1. Build an overpass with the NAM puzzle pieces

2. Plop Buddybud"s bridges next tp it (just do a search on the STEX for" Buddybud")

@all

RLS left me some time for a new map. By incident it has some ... uh .. railways ... 5.gif

Nardo, I love your railways! Soon I will post some of my urban rail network that I've been working on.

Actually, I was going to use this picture for help/troubleshooting, but it does give a preview of my railroad:

The main line is the one going through the sunken station.  Just out of the picture is the bridge into the downtown island/borough.

Remember my last post before my last post here?

Well, after weeks of RLS and hardware trounle I managed to start up the game (and the LE 2.gif ) for the first time within weeks.

You should be able to see the subtle changes:

I absolutely love your work Nardo! Thats what I'w been trying to create,a realistic railway... IT'S HARD! 8.gif

I wish you would make a large station area, let's say like the Gare Du Nord or smth similar.

I use opies round house and maintenence facilety and I also use fukudas train depot. For mods I use the china rail mod and the slope mod. I also usualy make run off lines that serve as rail yards because they look cool when you're city gets more developed like about 7,000 people or such.37.gif

Wow, Nardo, those pictures look great! What buildings are those next to the bridge? (one of them has a faded lingerie picture on it)

I could totally use those!

Seems to be there are still some ra?lway loving people around here ... 1.gif

@art128: Nice pic but I would connext the ending track at vanderaap' s station the main track 2.gif

@Devilman: I once tried but beneath that I wasn't completelz satisfied the whole map is heavily infected w?th the prop pox ... If I find the time, well, plans are there but RLS hits hard ...

@willba_victory: These Powerlines are the SFBT catenaries by Kenworth 1.gif

You get the dirt under the tracks if the tracks are next to a lot - plopped or grwon doesn't matter. The dirt under the bridge is a little bit of work with the LE and Buddybud's props.

@Jill Jacobs: Boah, now you really got me ... 18.gif

I am rather sure they are from good ol' Simgoober (most probably from SC4Devotion though) and the one next to the NAM oberpass is most probably one of his restaurants ...

Gotta fire up the game and check this!

Edit: ST seems not to like the link to the lex, so you have to copy and paste it manually into zour browser's address field: https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=925

When I build a city I usualy flaten out all or most of the map unless it is water then I just terraform around it. Then I use one big strip of avenue thru the center or I just add anouther avenue so it looks like an addition sign. Then you lay down a grid of Roads or one way's so they all look like even boxes. Then I add commercial all along the main avenue, what ever you choose it to be. and then put in more commercial 1 or 2 blocks deep. the rest is residential or parks. now later when you get a town hall you can put it in the middle of a block so clear all the buildings in that one block then put parks infront or around it. Preferably the large or medium plaza. Well thats all folks. 44.gif

Great railroads everyone!

@ Bernhard (Nardo69): Hey, how are you doing? Your details are once again outstanding, my friend. It's just like you've created a model railway on your computer.
