I have to agree, it looks like it's pretty cool but it is too small to really examine. Can you put up something bigger?

This is a Metro Map of my new city Weston. Its not great compared to a lot of the maps already posted but I am not too good with technology and I don't have photoshop so whatever...Anyway come see my CJ "Weston-Cedar Springs Metropolitian Area" and see more of Weston and the surrounding areas.

As for Texan's I would suggest trying to have the text not overlapping the lines and to perhaps to stick to 'Beck's Rule' of lines only at 90 and 45 degrees for that style map, otherwise, good!

Haha! I should have explained. It's like a track map I guess

The Green Line is one route (the downs line) and the Red another (the central line).

The red is split in two for standard and express routes. The overlaps show where the tracks can merge and swap to count for delays/train changes etc, as well as where you can interchange either on parrallel track (such as Ryde Esplanade) or tracks which are below or above (Sandown).

It follows on from my i|link series posted elsewhere in the thread. I have too much time and too many unrealistic ambitions on my hands!

OK, thanks for the info. I kind of thought that was what was going on but the clarification helps. So maybe more of an "internal" map, not necessarily one that would be posted for customers.

An update to my previous post.

I have created the "real" layout map for all cities, which can be found here. (Beware, both images are a bit large)

I have only created names for the bottom two cities, I will do the upper one at a later date (might have to destroy/ignore some stations in there too!)

Again, subway in blue, GLR in gold, El in red, and Heavy Rail in Green. Grey areas are where more than one SimCity station represents different entrances to the same "my" station, as they'd be too close together otherwise.

I have also done the map the public would see, which can be found here.

Again, it only contains the bottom two cities, but there are connections for the top city. As you might be able to tell, I've incorporated bits of the London Underground map with the style of lines/trains of New York.

I might do line maps at a later date, depending on how good the World Cup gets!

It's taken me a fair old while to make, but I'm really chuffed with it so far.

Any thoughts?

PS: I've noticed that the line numbers don't show up well on the lighter colours here. I will change that.

Now That is what I call impressive! I LOVE the public map. Perhaps to many branches and islands from a realistic point of view, but I adore the style. Excellent work!
