  1. Show us your City Transit Maps!

Ah! This is true. Hey, it's a great map though
  2. Show us your City Transit Maps!

Loving your work Shadow Assassin. I like the Sydney inspired City Circle. However, is the green line really necessary, when you have the purple AND all the others?
  3. Show off your cities! (Screen Shots)

So I haven't posted in ages, but here is an image from my new city in progress. On small annoyance is that the new patch doesn't allow for road-highway interchanges, but oh well. I hope you like it: This is from a suburb of Greenbough. It is the political centre and contains many landmarks. To the right of the image a new exclusive riverside district is being created and further right from that is the main CBD.

Here are a couple of images from my latest city. Not sure if I'm going to do a City Journal though.

Wonderful map. I had the pleasure of visiting Canterbury the other weekend, charming town! I love how it's not just me who likes to make maps for their home-towns, no matter how small.
  6. Cities XL 2011 - Built in cheat funtion!

Whilst I'm glad the system has been put in place, I must admit I prefer the Cities XL (2009) cheat mod. Having to keep going into the menu every time a 'day' passes gets quite frustrating (hence why setting to 50m was so good) and another issue for a sandbox is the fact that Blueprints need all those resources. I have them all, apart from the money one and it's quite frustrating. There really should just be a separate sandbox mode I feel. Good game though. A definite improvement, but more of an expansion rather than a whole new game.

I am envious of your talent Blue Lightning!
  8. Aegina - Interbellum - CJ

Love the overviews. I often think they look better than the actual cities. I can see a HUGE resemblance to London, The parks look like Hyde, Green, St James, and The Regents Parks with Primrose Hill- intentional? I've been using that map myself and it hasn't been until now that I've realised that the river follows a very similar path to the Thames too! Very nice! EDIT- Seems it was intentional! Good Find!

Hey, my first post in the CXL forums. I'm a little rubbish at City building, but I blame the tools rather than my ability
  10. Show us your city, road or transit maps!

Now That is what I call impressive! I LOVE the public map. Perhaps to many branches and islands from a realistic point of view, but I adore the style. Excellent work!
  11. Show us your city, road or transit maps!

Exactly! The public map is a few pages back probably!
  12. Show us your city, road or transit maps!

Haha! I should have explained. It's like a track map I guess The Green Line is one route (the downs line) and the Red another (the central line). The red is split in two for standard and express routes. The overlaps show where the tracks can merge and swap to count for delays/train changes etc, as well as where you can interchange either on parrallel track (such as Ryde Esplanade) or tracks which are below or above (Sandown). It follows on from my i|link series posted elsewhere in the thread. I have too much time and too many unrealistic ambitions on my hands!

Here it is. I tried editing the original but it wouldn't. It may be a little too big!! As for Texan's I would suggest trying to have the text not overlapping the lines and to perhaps to stick to 'Beck's Rule' of lines only at 90 and 45 degrees for that style map, otherwise, good!
  14. Show us your city, road or transit maps!

^^ Fantastic! Love it! There may be some layering issues on the interchanges, but other than that- modern, fresh and top class!
