Simcity Recurring Crash

I've been playing Simcity 4 Deluxe for a few dasys now.  I have one mod, NAM, installed.  The game appears to crash every time the city reaches a certain date.  The game crashes a few minutes after I load the city, usually happens sooner when the game is running at the fastest speed, which leads me to believe it may be a performance-related problem.  When I run the game at the lowest speed, I don't seem to have any problems (probably haven't played long enough to reach said date) unless I run the game at the fastest speed, which inevitably causes the game to crash after a minute or two running my city of about 100,000 people.

Basily, just remember that you never, never place transportation lots over transportation lots. Even if you don't think your doing it, you often are, be ver, very, careful about this.

N_O_body is an expert on this (told me all about it) maybe he'll help you as well.

mbody is absolutley correct! the NAM has a flaw in it that cant be corrected, when laying NAM peices make sure u dont hover over other transport pieces otherwise the game crashes to the desktop. make sure u save your game before u start laying NAM peices as a precaution. also if u could post specs of your machine CPU, RAM, GFX, etc.

Program version 610?  I think you have to be at least at 638 before you can use the NAM.  Are you running SC4, RH, or Deluxe?  You seem to be missing Update 1 to get you to version 638.

I suspect it is in your plugin folder, you may have a custom lot or two that uses too many game resources. Some lot/BAT creators don't pay enough attention to that detail.

As I mentioned earler, the NAm plugin is the only add-on I have installed.  No extra BATs or anything like that.  I just tried removing the NAM mod but the game still crashes.

Yes, I see that now, I missed it before.

I am only guessing the processor is a dual core.

I have read pro, and con about the problem of the AMD dual core having problems. Some suggest disabling one core.
