I've already posted this over in the CSX Announcement thread, but I'm also going to post it here, as I think it may be prudent to have it in both threads:

I've noticed that the following Prop packs seem to have disappeared completely from the STEX in the transition.

CSX MEGA Props Vol 01

CSX MEGA Props Vol 02

CSX MEGA Props Vol 03

CSX BAT Props 2006b

It wouldn't have mattered to me if Vol 01 and Vol 02 hadn't been there, but before the revamp I'd only gotten up to Vol 02 as my computer had recently decided to... ahem... suffer a catastrophic error.

And I honestly tried searching using every term I could think of, heck, I even delved well into the props subsection. Couldn't find them at all.

It might be prudent to have a quick check to see if there are any other packs or lots that are missing. It also might be a good time to further consolidate some files. I'm just one person, it might help to bring things to light a bit more if there's more than one person looking out for missing files.

The new search also has some bizarre quirks; for example, I can find the CSX Mod - Sloping by searching the term "CSX Mod" but not by searching "sloping".

Barby, I'm confused. Did you recently update the mega prop packs for D66 and MJB or is this an STEX upgrade oops? They're at the top of the list with a new date, but the files have the same date stamp as what I have on my computer already. 46.gif thanks!!

I did put that this was a re upload of the previous packs12.gif These are exactly the same as the others that seem to have disappeared in the changeover. I have two more files to upload later to replace others that were lost.

Oh did they disappear in the transition? I must have missed that although in my defense, I was probably trying to figure out how to navigate through the various tabs and wasn't fully concentrating. 2.gif

I suspect that the TMs struck when they saw the Delete button.

Why hasn't anyone told me about this?

I've been posting and posting in the Official Bug Report, and no one has gotten back to me?

I know I'm new here and a little rough around the edges, but 4 out of 5 of my files have been deleted, plus some of the dependencies? That can't be a mistake! If it is why hasn't anyone been told?

hey simgoober, ive downloaded most of your lots and all the mega texture and prop packs and individual packs, but i am still missing some parking textures like for example on your tractor supply distribution center, some of the parking lot is there and some sections are missing. ive went up and down through my plugins folder trying to find if im missing anything and checking all the links on the mega packs, but no luck, i cant solve the problem. i noticed that some of the individual packs that made up the mega packs didnt have links, so maybe it could be one of those. Anyway, i know people have mentioned all this before, but if you or anyone else can help me, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

double check you have peg_Base_ texturesVol1 and Peg's overlay vol 1 plugins...goober likes to use them for the parking lots and many other buildings (offhand I'm unsure if they are in the Mega-packs though)

after that...all i can suggest is get the SC4Tool program and scan the lots....theres a section where it will tell you all the dependancies for a lot and it also lets you know if it is detected in your game too...but a least you'll have a file name to track down...4.gif

This will happen if you have the Paris Residential Corner buildings by Xannepan as xannepan put them into a family that is a Maxis standard family. Gascooker used the standard prop family in his lots and so if you have these then you will get the odd props:-) All the models for these are in the BSC MEGA Props - JENX Vol01 and as ploppable residentials don't work you do not need to keep the xannepan file.

Hey guys frist i would like to say Great Job on all the lots but i need some serious help you hvae so many prop packs so my question is this do i down load them all ????here are all of the ones on stex can you please tell me wich one i need thanks guys

A simple answer is to download all the recent packs that are named BSC MEGA Props - xxx plus the CSX MEGA Props Vol01 to 04 plus anything that is dated after the first of them. Check the Readme text file that comes with each of the MEGA packs and note down what they replace. You also need the BSC Texture Pack and the BSC Texture Pack Cycledogg Vol1. After that make sure you read the Readme for any lots you download and check against your list of MEGA pack contents to see if you are missing any props or textures. If you keep your list of prop packs up to date you should find no problems providing you read the Readme.

Sorry to bother you guys with such a simple question, but I can't find in which pack I've downloaded this file:

BSC_VehicleProps-beta-03.dat

I'm finishing some lots, and looking for dependencies. This is the last one I have to nail.

Found all the others.

Question, but is there a list of prop family ID's that have been used? I'm working on a pack that uses two familys for my props: 0xA0000200 and 0xA0000201 and don't want to cause conflicts. Does anyone know if these two family ID's are used by anyone else, and if so, what are safe ID's I can use instead? 4.gif

Those two families are, I think, standard Maxis ones. I have allocated 0xADF00000 to 0xADF000FF to you to use. This logged in The BSC record so should not be duplicated.

OK, Dale. I avoid any round those numbers as I know some are used and some not. Best to keep out of that range of numbers.

Hello,

Can anyone tell me where I can find this and similar files: PropPakmjbTreesShrubsAndFlowers01 Ver 02

I need them for SG's trail parks. He provided a readme, but GrampaAl withdrew the prop and placed it in some pack. The link is dead and he didn't give the name of the prop pak. Example: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=3674

All MJB/couchpotato props were rolled into one dat for speed of loading and it is here: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=15188

The old file names are no longer valid but all the props that were contained in those small dats are now in the MEGA pack. Any references to mjb/MJB/couchpotato props are in the above file and you do not need the old ones.
