Kazakhstan is geographically an Asian country. Only a small portion of the country with less than 10% pop lies in in Europe. Same for Turkey.

I love living in Holland, so that's my vote! btw: wouldn't really call Azarbaijan, Kazakhsan and Georgia European countries..

Spain gets my vote!

It is truly fantastic country with beautiful people, cities (Barcelona arguably Europe's most beautiful one), nature ranging from almost desert in central part to lash green hills and mountains of Galicia and Basque Country, out of this world mountains in Catalonia (Montserrat), miles of mile of beautiful beaches (yes folks Spain still got those - not everything was ruined by package ever drunk holidayers from up north), reach and ancient culture spanning thousands of years and numerous empires - from Cartage to Roman to Khalifat and Moorish kings, to kingdoms of Christian knights of Aragon and Castile, great Spanish empire etc. good food, great wines, lots of fun!

I sincerely hope that people would refrain from petty nationalistic voting here on principal - My country is a best because it is mine...

can i make a complaint? im from Ireland and being seperate from the uk is fine but the uk is actually Scotland, Wales and England..  i as an irishman would prasume that the people of wales and scotland would like to have their own vote, also many people wouldnt know the difference between england and the uk!  just a thought!

That was tough to decide. The contenders:

1. The UK, for giving the world Britcoms, which make Saturday Night television worth staying in for here in the States...

2. Switzerland, as my most recent great grandparrents to come to the US both came from near Berne.

3. Tie: Italy/Germany, as I love their history, music, architecture, and food! (I'd live in either, more than anywhere else in Europe).

4. Greece, once again for the cuisine and history.

5. Spain, home to La Sagrada Familia!

6. Estonia: A nation which has endured so much, and has come out dancing and singing despite attempts to stop them from celebrating their culture. Their resiliance is admirable. I love their flag for some odd reason. The colors are just pleasing to me.

7. Ukraine, Thanks to JohnB, who has shown me the beauty of Kiev through his pics.

Guernsey, the Isle of Man, Jersey, Gibraltar, and Svalbard are not countries. The first four belong to the UK and Svalbard beongs to Norway.

as for my favorite, I'm gonna say Italy, if for no other reason than it's where 3/4 of my heritage goes.

Actually I could not vote anything else : I am french and live in France, so it is the country I know the most and where I am used to live... I have my habits and life here.

Still there are a few things that make me very very angry here, like our stupid arrogant politicians and our extremely complex and dear tax system, but where is it perfect ? 

But there is a couple of countries where I wouldn't mind to live : Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands, and maybe some parts of the UK but definitely not London.
