Yes it's from the top of the stairs by glenora looking toward garneau.

i spoke to tjd about it on MSN, he said he was just laying out the main roads and such, than will do the stuff like ground level highways and the bridge (where he will have to convery the subway to the EL train for the bridge...

 

Once out of downtown, the LRT comes above ground, cause theres more room (no skyscrapers everywhere) towards commonwealth stadium and northlands, belvedere and clareview.  That will have to be EL train instead

Can't wait to see u're city TJD, Edmonton looks great.I got cousins in Edmonton. I've been in the mall, it's monstrous, a hotel, skating rink, amusement park(largest indoor one in the world), waterpark, dolphin show, sbmarines, plus a few stores here and there, it's crazy. U gonna make the parliament buildings, I've enver seen them but presume they look pretty good.

Ya I'm from Edmonton on the northside I can wait till he finishes the map. Maybe then I'll be able to get a copy of it. So far it looks very good. I've lived here also almost 23 years. I wish there was a JPG version. Maybe I'll work something out. I'd love to play Edmonton. Here is some more night shots I took.

   I want to appologize for the waite on this region. I've been playing my main region for the last while. Thanks for the post and interest.

   Warsz I live in Londonderry and in Edmonton all my 23 yrs....I'll get you a copy of the region when its finished one way or another. Brett you'll have a copy aswell soon.

    I still have to continue the valley from Downtown to past Clareview. Plus somehow try and slowly elavate the entire city as becomes further away from the river valley. On 66th street here in Londonderry you can see clear across the city all the way to the water tanks on 66th and Whitemud. But with out an elavation map of teh rest of the city I may have to leave anything away from the river flat or slightly guess...LOL we'll see

     When I start mapping the region again soon it should only take a few days to finish.

Some great pics there Warsz...edmonton is really a beautiful city, the effect of the river valley and the river right down this steep hill from downtown is pretty powerful. Great work TJD....    i could only terraform that good...wait....never...

Finally back to work on the Edmonton. I've finished most of Downtown, St. Albert, and Millwoods. Next is the river valley from Highlands to Clareview and the Strathcona industrial area north of Millwoods. Here is a pic of Downtown to St Albert (NW EDM).

I have alot of trees to fill in but I want to do the elevations and god mode for now.

    I just want to say thanks to everyone for the comments, compliments, and Pics of the city. You guys keep me going after the hrs of terraforming add up (lol). Check back in the next few days. I have some time off of work and want to get alot doen on the region before RH is out.

Wow...as a former Edmontonian (now living in Red Deer) the work you have done is AMAZING!!! You can add me to the list of people who would like to get a copy of the region, if possible.

And any chance you could come up with a hint book for doing a region like that?? I wouldn't mind trying to do Red Deer and area, but trying to terraform everything is such a daunting task.
