Problem with rowhomes!

Hi, I'm working on this New York style city and I downloaded some plopable rowhomes from the STEX. Hurray! The problem is, as I was making a sub-folder for the rowhomes, my mouse slipped and I accidentally dragged the folder with the Plopable row homes into another subfolder in my plugins.

Then I couldn't find the plopable rowhomesin the plugins anymore--like, it dissapeared! I thought, "oh well." And I played the game.

Now, the rowhomes were in the game, but there was a serious problem when I plopped 'em. I plopped them, but instead of the bbuilding, I got cycledogg's trees with one rowhome on an empty lot. Ehh? I don't see how anything can conflict with the file--and then I remembered like a flashback how my hand slipped and the subfolder got lost.

Nooo. This happened too with don miguels "MULTI FAMILY HOMES" The lots on don miguel's lot is still there, but cycledogg's trees are taking over the lot and it looks ugly!

Can anyone tell me how I can find the missing subfolder and delete it, and redownload?

Download it again, and unpack it someplace away from the game.  You now have all the folder names, so do a search for them in your plugins and delete them.  Now get it right this time.  Don't drag, use copy and paste.

Well, my hand slipped. I didn't drag on purpose. In fact, I don't drag at all. I was copying and pasting at the time of the "unfortunate incident". Thanks alot though! You're a big help, N_O body! EDIT: I still don't know what's wrong with the trees appearing on the lot. I think it has to do with jeronij's street mod.

I think you'll know how to purge your plugins folder. Do this, it'll take a while. But you'll find the problem

The trees issue is caused by Don Miguel's prop family ID's on the lots. He has an old plugin called "plugin tree or bush" which has the same prop family ID as one of Jeronij's CP Trees as Props files.

This is another reason why lot developers should have only the necessary files when creating lots. The only known solution is to edit the lots in the Lot Editor to remove those particular prop families from the lot. The "plugin tree or bush" creates a prop family with trees and bushes for use in the Lot Editor. In the game, the game will choose between the props in the family to randomize the appearance of the lots.
