Well, if you don't want to cheat, the best thing would be to educate your sims so the dirty industry gets replaced by cleaner high tech. If you don't mind cheating, there's some nice air cleaners on the STEX.

Yea, even if a few (like 10) ID lots grow, your city looks like LA from air pollution perspective.

enact the clean air act ordinance and tax dirty industry at 20% and they'll get the point.

Remember, for starting cities stick with farms until you build up the education level.

Pollution and dirty industry aren't nearly as much of a problem if you do this.

I've had a pollution problem since ever since I started this city. It is on the large square tile. Half my city is covered by trees (from god mode) cause I'm only done half the city. I have mostly high tech industry. Still my pollution is off the charts!!! Out of 100 percent, my city is developed 50 percent. The other half is trees and parks some from mayor mode, but most are from god mode. But my environmental advisor still is red. I have all three types of industry. I've taxed the dirty industry 20 percent and lowered taxes for hight tech to 0 percent. But i still have pollution from my roads. I don't want to cheat. I want to put in the clean air ordiance but I don't want my industry leaving (thte high tech industry). So what do I do? Please help. I have 701 000 people in my city and I'm only done halfway. I would really like some help. THanx.

first of all by reducing pollution you'll actually be encouraging hi-tech industry to grow. By introducing a mass transit sytem that is efficient you can reduce road pollution to almost 0.
