I'd like to ask everyone a question. If given the choice, which would you rather I did:

    1) continue creating new items.
    2) rework older items to the same level as the newest.

I'd like to see you finish up the SD unit model you're making, and then widen the nose to make one of those cab units (the ones with the front cab like a passenger engine, the back like a normal freight), then go back to fixing up some older cars.

The latter locomotive might be a selfish interest, because then I could put Amtrak Pepsi Can paint on it.   I've been playing with making such a loco, but your SD would be the better starting point.  I seem to have done the same thing to make six-wheel trucks, too.  No sense reinventing each other's wheels. :)

You have so many cars out that redoing the older ones all at once could get bo-ring fast.  So maybe bounce back and forth, a few here and there, until they're done, then re-release the train set?

    Just some thoughts.

I would agree. I don't think you need to do over that much. The cars you made are fine and most of the train sets are fine so.. wait a minute! I'm saying everything is fine as is. So what did you want to redo?

I agree with BRF and Smurfer2, do it at your own pace. Your work is great and I'm sure that your to do list is also. Try not to achieve burnout before your time. As always, keep up the great work that your doing for the comunity.

    Trolca-
    Here is my request (finally)
Could you create a F-Unit Diesel in the 1950's livelrey of Lackawanna.
Pictures are found here: K-line products
Since you can't link two engines together, I would be perfectly happy with one. It would also be nice to see freight cars of Lackawanna, which are found here.

Try and remember to Keep Images below 800x600, thank you.
    <ahttp://www.k-linetrains.com/klinetrainsimages/products/lackfea.jpg width=798>
Hope to see these sometime in the future.

    Thanks,
    Fairlane

Fairlane500: I was thinking of that basic model as well. I wouldn't be able to make the B unit though. I could but I wouldn't be able to make the game use it correctly.

The AC6000 is another I'll attempt.

The reason I asked the questions is because when I look back, much of my early work seems lacking. Conrail is a good example. Even CP Rail could use some improvements.

For now I can focus on the new engine models. Another thing I'm going to attempt is a World War II troop train. I don't know very much on the subject. I did read that diesel engines began showing up about that time. If anyone had some images of what they might look like, please post them.

I'll agree, the Conrail could use some help.

As for a WWII troop train..37.gif I guess I could help you. ( I don't know much about diesel troop trains in the 40's) Europe was mostly steam, but the U.S. would of had some diesel. When I find time this week, I'll get you some photos. (If they exist)

I say work at your own pace, but deffinetly finish the new model so BRF can use it for more Passenger. :P

Jumping back and forth occasionaly would be best I'm sure.

Since you have been at this a while and have amassed quite a library of work, I would start going back through and upgrading everything.  Throw us a bone every once in a while with a new member car or something, but I'd like to see some of your older stuff updated and improved upon.  Not that it was of any less quality when you released it.1.gif

There are a few older items that really could use a touch of the modern Trolca talent (Conrail) but for the most part it all looks GREAT as it is. So I guess what I'm saying is do whatever you want to do at the pace you want to do it.

I must say I do love it when you come out with new stuff and look forward to checking in every other day or so to see what you have been up to. I am a BIG fan of your real-world cars and the fakes that look like they could be real.

I'm still not done with the renumbering project. It might be another week before it's completed.

Here's the KMW engine. I think it's an improvement over the previous image posted.

I would LOVE to see this become a replacement for the steam engine when you have the time. It is one of the many 'FAKE' roads that look so real that they could be really be out there rolling down the rails of North America.

I can do that tonight, it'll only take a few minutes. I hope to make a whole KMW set someday.

Please ignore this post. There's a flaw with this download. The correct file will be in the following post because I'm not able to replace an attached file with edit.

    Thanks for the steam version.

Yeppers a whole KMW set would be very nice indeed, btw did you give up on the autoracks you where making. Looked back though almost all of the pages and you only make 2. Was there a problem with them or something?

Here's a link to a freight car site. Lots of BIG pictures.

Thanks for the link. I'll make more autoracks some time. I was thinking of using the names of major auto makers for some.

    Manufacturer Car Haulers!
This is just what I've wanted.
I would much appriciate it if you could make a Ford one with a picture of a 1957 Fors Skyliner on it. You could use the one at this link.
You do brilliant work, and I hope to see these soon.

    LOL, that's a GREAT LOGO!

Are you going to be joining BRF on the STEX with your trains in the future? From some of the comments she has gotten it seems many people did not know what kinds of train MODS are out here for them to have till now. I think this is great news. More exposure is always a Good Thing (copywright Martha Stewart, please don't sue me). In light of Hard Rock Concrete's logo being Rock Hard I think MORE exposure is just whats needed.
