So I Got My City to 99,000, Whats Next?

Im lost, its just hovering around 99k and 101k but not growing anymore, I have 80% zoned for high density, I have schools and hospitals aswell as police and firemen with appropriate funding, what do I do now?<br /><br />Thanks!<br /><br />Also, ome buildings are getting abandoned, I hate that, what should I do?<br /><br />Also I have about 2,000 simileon range to work with, I dont want to add any more than that to my expenses.<br /><br />I have about 3,500 breatheing room between income and expenses...

If your Pop is mostly made up of $$$ then that could be the problem.See you "Need" $ and $$ to work the grunt jobs like Burger Joints,Waiting Tables and so on.You won't find a $$$ working a Jiffy Lube so make sure you got a balance.Goodluck

    If you have a lot of high density residential, pick a nice block and remove the zoning.  The zone the area for low density.  This will attract more R§ and R§§, hopefully.  If there is a school nearby, demolish it.

    I have the same problem with a city of nearly 700,000. plenty of room, plenty of demand, but no growth. I'd suggest what N_O_Body says to do

    If you want a population boost, you should start building on new city tiles. Make some connections to them with highways, monorail, rail. That alone will give you some demand. Did you place the major league stadium? It gives a pop boost of 75.000 i guess. Also placing tennis courts gives you a population boost.

    The key to have a big population is region play....
