Light rail or tran systems

Light rail or tram systems?  I love the idea of placing a light rail system in one of my cities, but I can't seem to find track for it.

Does it take special track or use the same track as trains or subs?

How to keep frieght and passenge trains from appearing on the light rails?

 Any help from the master  buildes out there would be greatly appreacted

Try NAM for Ground Light Rail.

Download the Network Addon Modd. Then use the pieces to create a Light Rail network. It is only for Trams and El-Trains if you attach it to the El- Track. Well youre going to have to I believe.

To keep freight trains off the passenger rail system, you need to keep their tracks systems seperate.

In addition, passenger rail lines cannot touch industrial zones, otherwise freight trains still may use those lines.
