Personaly I like the euro tileset, especially high density.   What do you set it at?

Residential

Low Density: Chicago, New York, Houston

Medium Density: Chicago and New York

High Density: Chicago, New York, Euro

Commercial:

Low Density: Chicago and New York

Medium Density: All

High Density: All

And there are no tilesets for industry... but I prefer manufacturing, really.

I personally like the New York 1940 Tileset the best. The way the houses use many darker colours of bricks, and maybe because most of the older houses in Alberta are from this era! I like the Chicago and New York tilesets for their high density commercial establishments though.

I use mostly the European and Houston tilesets, although I occasionally use New York for some cities. I don't use Chicago because none of my cities are that style. Usually they are modern or *slightly* futuristic (but not sci-fi futuristic). Or atleast this is how I imagine/hope them to be.

I keep all of them on to prevent MBDS otherwise known as Massive Building Duplication Syndrome.

If you leave just the New York Set on, Farly Audio will take over your city

If you leave just the Chicago Set on, Wren Insurance will take over your city

If you leave just the Houston Set on, Brink Real Estate will take over your city

If you leave just the Euro Set on, Reflect Systems Incorporated will take over your city.

And thats just an example. The following concept holds true for all stages of buildings. The only way to have a city that has some variety is to use all of them.

But i guess i'd say Euro+Houston as they are the most modern. I like the Houston high rises better though.

I keep the new york and chicago styles on most of the time (big surprise).

Sometimes I'll have the other ones on too though. Usually when I'm growing large buildings downtown. To keep the buildings from repeating.

Residential

Low: Euro(love euro), houston

Medium: Euro, Houston

High: Euro, Houston

Commercial

Low:Euro, Houston.

Medium: Euro, Houston

High: Euro, Houston and maybe New York for just 1 or 2 bricky tall buldings.

Hated: Chicago has the worst commercial in simcity to my taste. Very bricky and plain. Don't flame at me. Its my opinion.

oo that was wierd.. stuffed up. Im more of a modern city guy. Oh, i've had people flame at me for my opinion before on forums...what was i thinking...no one in simtropolis is bad 4.gif
