These tours are a really interesting way of showing large parts of Thames. Can't wait for the second part.

I mentioned it before, I love your railway tours.

These electrical lines for the railway look good by now. Any chance there will be a mod someday?

    Great work!

love the second update, are the overhead cables a prototype for the NDEX Brittish Rail Mod? might as well follow the trend in asking about them!!!

Just looking at the last picture, you seem to have double the amount of lighting columns for that there street, why is this?

We finally arrive at Thames Piccadilly Station. Although it is mainly a terminus, the through platforms...

Sounds a lot like Manchester Piccadilly, hehe!

    Frogface,

Well, better late than never.  Your rail tours are the best, hands down the very best.  But on top of that your urban areas are just amazing.  I like the w2w a lot- and I must tell you that you use it in a way that makes it hard to believe that Thames is entirely fictional.

    Keep up the great work.

I work for the US Army. I go places, visit mean people, and kill them.

Winston Churchill is generall credited for saying something to the effect of: "People sleep soundly in their beds because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf". That about sums up my life, besides the "rough men" part.

Good stuff, I particularly like your use of the Marrast stations for Thames Piccadilly station, though I was thinking more Clapham Junction than Manchester Piccadilly, but that's purely because of the shape of the station you've made as a whole.

    Purely wonderful!

Piccadilly reminded me of Bingley Station in west Yorkshire. It's one of the only stations to have a triangular lay out (the platforms are on a junction). do the shops infron of Picadilly Station have access into the station?

South Street looks a joy to drive along!

Your great sense of detail makes this journal a feast for the eye. Great attention paid to small things like the the signs and the trees, electric rail and rural road mod (i think it's called).

The variation of your rail stations is indeed superb. I may have said it before: I like how you use those maps, plans and graphs to illustrate the rail system, it really gives the reader a sense of orientation.

1.gif I should visit more often.

    thanks for commenting everyone 9.gif
    GingerBlokey
Hordijk: thanks, being interested in railways i usually pay more attention to getting them realistic 17.gif
Nardo69:Yes it does seem to have a nice closed in effect 19.gif
silvrefyre:indeed it is similar to manchester in terms of layout, although not too simliar in looks 3.gif
meinhosen:thanks, i enjoy the rail tours even if they take longer than normal updates becasue it feels more real travelling around using transport in the region rather than just some screenshots19.gif
Gryphonite:most people ive seen use marrasts stations on thier own but they are very useful to make large termini stations, it does look a bit more like clapham though, i guess it has the layout of manchester piccadilly but the look of clapham junction 46.gif
wallasey:it doesnt seem that rare, ive seen a few in that kind of layout. Lewes station just up the line from me is an example, South Street looks fairly calm but its Grafton Street that has the bulk of the traffic. at rsuh hour its not uncommon to see accidents 14.gif the reason i opened the side platforms at piccadilly was to try to ease traffic on Grafton St but it only seems to have been semi sucessful 15.gif
Dannato:thanks, as in batting its the details that make it up 2.gif
Glenni:glad you like the city hall 17.gif

Awesome update, even if there were a few spelling mistakes 3.gif
I don't know how you manage to make such a realistic and great region, but whatever you do, it works! Keep it up!
