I'm hoping that someone has an obvoius solution to my problem.

I'm trying to place GLR from the newest NAM, but when I select it from the menu, all I get is a red arrow. Pressing Tab does nothing to change my situation.

Any solutions?

At the first sign of trouble, people need to read the documentation included with the NAM.
99.95% of issues like this are because of file conflicts. The contents of the NAM are thoroughly gone through, both internally & in-game, before being released to the public to ensure that these sorts of issues do not exist. And that is as much as we can do on our end. The rest is upto others to make sure they're read the documentation & installed it properly.
As for which file(s) specifically is causing the conflict; well because of the nature of these files, it could be anything. Chances are though you have an older GLR Modd (not Lots, but Modd) in the plugins folder that should not be there.

Latest version can be found here;

From what I understand the on-slope puzzle pieces were developed in part with the GLR mod, so if this is the wrong place to ask this question, could someone please remove it. Now on to the question.

I have a sunken railway in a city I am creating, but whenever I try to use the on-slope, the bridge isn't level. If there isn't a fix to this problem, I'll understand, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here is a picture of my problem:

Thanks.

I think your walls aren't designed to be used with the onslope puzzle pieces. All the elevated puzzle pieces have the same height like elevated railways while the top of your walls is a bit deeper.

The walls don't really matter. Your rail just isn't deep enough. It takes some experimenting to get the right height down.

Thanks for the quick reply. I think I figured out my problem. The hole digger for rail, digs a shallower hole than the one for roads, so if I use roads to dig the holes then place the rails in them, it should work fine.

GoaSkin: Please update your FAQ in the first post. It's a bit out of date.

A lot of people are bit confused about where to find the stations and the GLR Transition, so here we go.

GLR stations on the STEX are:
Petrouch CityTram Station for NAM lightrails, Mijin Eki Station NAM lightrail version:

    Hi,

(Hopefully I've got this in the right thread this time).

I'm keen to try out the GLR mod, but I downloaded the latest NAM to this computer here (which doesn't have Simcity at all, so no previous NAM versions to remove) and it's not present in the NAM .zip file...unless I'm missing something here... (probably) ? Do I need to download something else, apart from just the network addon module, or is it part of it???

    Please excuse my ignorance :/

Well I don't have anything else. I have erased all my glr-files from the project period. It's works fine for me.

Well start by reading the readme file49.gif. I know it's big, but it's all there.

Besides that you need to download the stations. See the post above. There are also a few to be found in the link 'temporary source for tram stations' in GoaSkin's signatur.
At the moment there are 3 GLR trains on STEX, one by fukuda and two I have done.

    Thanks Vester.

To make sure I have the right NAM file, I unzipped it and this is what I have inside:

    Traffic_Plugin_Files
    LEFT_HAND_VERSIONS_ONLY_Additional_Plugin_Files
    Automata_Plugin_Files
    1.0 OPTIONAL PLUGINS
NetworkAddonMod.dat (This is a file, not a folder, unlike all the others).

Which one contains the GLR mod?

Hi I think I've the same problem as bamse.
When I go in the network transportation menu I can just place one straight piece... there isn't anymore... I removed all the files which were in the Plugin folder (except the NAM of course) but it didn't work.
    Please help...

I think you have to use the tab button function to tab between the different pieces, that's also so when you want to use different nam puzzle pieces. I suggest to use the tab button to browse throught different puzzle pieces...

I know this really isn't a question, but SmCity 4: Rush Hour crashes whenever I hover a GLR tle next to a GLR station, next to the side that doesn't have tracks coming out. I've attached the exeption report.

Puzzle piece sets and interchanges have the behavior to rotate automaticly until a matching position has been found. If the RUL configuration does not allow a valid direction, the cursor becomes red and placing is impossible.

If there is a lot, the same routines are called but because it's a different item type, the game is not able to verify the validation. The result is that the routines try out infinite rotations in a loop.

That means that the program is going to call the same function again endless time. The kernel detects an infinite loop and sends a SIGKILL signal to the application.

    Is there a GLR-to-subway transition?

    quote>

Anything that requires a transition from one transit type to another, must be done using a TransitEnabledLot. As such, I don't believe a Lot like this has been done for GLR<>Subway.

EDIT: Someone has done some after all. I can never keep track of all these things 46.gif.

By pressing tab you can shift between different GLRs, where also the overpasses are. If this is not what you asked for then, you might have to demolish some glr or road so that the puzzlepiece fits. Mostly you'll just have to experiment, eheh sorry if this weren't much of a help...

    take care

Sure... this has been done in the early days of the GLR mod (when only four puzzle pieces were finished). Why does nobody look on my signature?

The reason why these are not released on the STEX is because this are models by Morifari and she has been gone away (wasn't online since many months). We do not have permission to release them here.
