Creating Ordinances

Hmm, I was wondering can new ordinances be added onto the list or can they only be edited?

The grammar Nazi has fixed the spelling in this post.

As far as I know, I think they can only be edited at the moment.

I like the fact you said 'at the moment' which to me implies that it may be possible. The reason I ask is because I think it would be good the enhance the political side of the game. Expanding the game's frontiers by making ordiances about civil rights, more based on the economy and other issues.

Has it already been done shivsood? Awesome, yeah I'm using that radical ordiance mod now, the one with the Godfather project...who made that mod anyhow?

Ralphninja's mod (though he did have help from other members of the mod squad)

they were not  ever able to figure out a way to add new ordinaces to the game...only edit the exisiting ones...I believe thier findings can be viewed in the MOD experiments and/or development thread (might have to search, sort of guessing on the thread here)

around here we rarely use the term "impossible" as you never know when someone might figure it out...but i believe the idea of adding new ordinances is currently a dead subject (or at leat in a comma)

timotheous4 did it. Well if not entirely, kinda. He did the Cousin Vinnie Ordinace. In the story behind the ordinace; 'Cousin Vinnie so happens to need to dispose of 200,000 bucks of cold, hard cash every single month until he dies[ which never happens]' So, timotheus4 has done it.

couldnt you just download teh radicle ordinance mod and use it as a base?

i mean - edit it so that it does something completely different. then download it again and edit into another different ordinance.

basically using th superdemand as a base from which you can creat as many ordinances as you want?

But I thought that there was only a preset number of ordiances eg. one that earns cash for you and the rest cost money?

Howdie again mayors, talking about ordiance. I wanted to see if theres a way to create ordiances for Police Department and Fire Department. I've been wanting to do something like this:

    Police Department Ordiance

    Issue Speeding Tickets

    Issue Illegal Parking Tickets

Issue Arrest Warrants for wanted Suppects in SC4

    Settle Disputes etc...

    For Fire Department Ordiance

Make Inspections on Commerical & Industurial Business for Fire Hazards

They can also issue tickets for causing fires etc...

I have several in mind, but dont know how to start lol. I have Ireader. but dont know where to begin. Can u point me in the right

    direction? thanks in advance.

Mayor Of Maxiston (Proud To Be A Sim Nation City!)

Well, I disagree with the idea of politicizing a game like this where it is a dictatorship of the nut holding on to the keyboard.  However, as long as it is optional, more power to whoever.  Just remember that the keyboard holder is the god of all this.
