    The Aniversary

It's been 365 days since the first human stepped foot on Hermoso. A larger fair was prepared for the people on Hermoso. Included were live bands, many games and rides, and enterprisers showing off some of their new products. One of the crowd favourites was a new coffee brand made by Daniel Henderson. People flooded the stand, especially in the morning. Other highlights were some brand new cars being showcased, and the annoucement of dealerships being built in Vita and Lexington. Which is a welcome change, all cars currently have to bought directly at the plant.

The major Highlight of the night however was the appearance of George Huxley. He announced the completetion of major projects such as the Mint in Lexington and the polic Headquarters. He also made a major announcement. In 2 months time, another ship would be landing, followed quickly by another one only 1 and a half months later!

In other news Matt Heitbrink has been working on a map of the area he has been exploring. He's only about half done, but we'll be hearing more about him later tonight.

Some of the new development happening on Hermoso, mostly in Lexington.

Daniel Henderson's new business has been booming ever since it was put up in Monsoon. Many people in other cities want the business in their city after testing it at the fair. Unfortunately Daniel doesn't have the money to expand yet, however at the speed he is getting money, he may be able to get a loan and start another.

March 17th, 0002 -The adventure has been long but so fun and interesting at the same time. It's very neat being the first to ever step foot on some land. Maybe I'll find an existing species like ours during my expedition! haha.

March 20th, 0002 -Covered alot of ground last few days. I'd say I'm getting close to the halfway mark or so. I got a bunch of new pictures of the untouched terrain, and am taking a small break to polish up some details on my map so far.

March 23rd, 0002 -Wow, the view is great from up here. I just spent the last 2 days hiking up this small mountain. I can see the river goes down quite a bit more, and then winds between a cliff on my side and some hills on the other. And... I can see a coast! Whoa... I can see some smoke, coming from behind a smaller mountain ahead... I'm going to take a picture, and I'll write my thoughts on it...

    Thanks for the comment Leech!

Also more comments appreciated. I'd like to hear your thoughts on the Table of Contents. Maybe they'll help organize things a bit more.

Missed your comments, must have come up while I was updating.

Deathtoall - It's my new Table of Contents. I tried to get it to fit with the theme of my Planet Journal, so that's why it looks like a computer thingy 2.gif It shows what page, what update is on, in order.

AfroThunda - Thanks, I think this is a great way to make the CJ's a bit more lively. I'm going to head over to your place and see your CJ, don't think I've seen it before.

    Leech10 - Thanks

march 24th, 0001 -I'm right at the edge of the cliff that overlooks where the smoke was coming from yesterday. I've got alot of anticipation. On one hand I'm hoping it's a new life form I've found similar to ours. On the other hand it could be hostile, so hopefully it was just small brush fire... Well, I'm gathering my courage now, and I'm about to take a look.

Amazing! It's humans in unchartered land. Well what used to be unchartered land. A small little village which runs off a fresh water supply from the mountain stream. It has a few gardens, six log houses, and I can see a couple people out. I'll snap a picture then go down and talk to them.

March 25th, 0001-I spent the whole afternoon and night yesterday talking to them, mostly the guy who seems to be the leader, or at least he looks after what projects are done and what not. Theres 24 of them. Mostly adults with a few kids as well. Apparently they're from the first ship, during the colonization they left to start their own. The guy that lead them was Jack Fraiser. He was really nice, and was somewhat like me. Enjoyed the outdoors and being away from the city. He got me to stay the night and then this morning gave me a nice cooked breakfast and some fresh fruit for the road. He only asked one thing. Don't tell anybody about this community, we want to keep it a secret as long as we can. So, I've decided to not say anything, and I'm on my way for more adventures. Before I went though I snapped a couple more pictures close up. Apparently they want to put a watch tower on the hill and a mill on the waterfall. I wished them good luck.

I figured I had another weeks worth of hiking til I got to the shore. Then I'd be done, for now anyways.

The dirt roads are PEG's pine forest trails, the cabins are again, Peg log cabins in the forest pack, and the farms are actually the gardens without fences you find in the parks menu 1.gif

What a discovery, I wonder what I will find next? It is interesting that I was the one who asked what would happen with the people that ran away, and now I am the one who found them.

Hah, thats funny how that worked out. I didn't even notice you were the one who asked! Yep, little details always end up showing later down the road, so the people who read closely will normally pick up on these things 17.gif

Ahh, thanks. That's how it should be pronounced then.

Anyways I've got a cold and feel like crap, And I gotta work tomorrow morning. So no update tonight, and depending on how I feel tomorrow there may or may not be one. On a brighter note however, I'm going to be taking a new approach to CJ telling I don't think has been done before, so look for that soon 2.gif

Earth's Engineers had made major advancements in travel technology since the launch of the Voyagers. During the time the voyagers were searching the universe, scientists and engineers were trying to perfect the technology. Their newest incarnation was many times faster then the one used on the Voyagers. It was also larger, and wasn't portable like the ones on Voyager. They would be sending the 2nd half of it on the Voyager, to be set up on Hermoso.

They started by cleaning out the unneeded parts on the Voyager. No one would be travelling on it, so they were able to take out all the accomodations and food proccessing plants, as well as many mineral storage areas. With the new room they would fit in the new Warp drive. After Voyager returned to Hermoso, the inhabitants would set it up, and Hermoso would start to get migrants from Earth.

Comments would be appreciated. I'd like to hear opinions on this new style I'll be implementing into my PJ. It will allow me to implement alot of story elements alot easier.

I like the new style, and I wonder when the people will be able to get to Hermoso directly from Earth?

Leech10 - Glad you like the new implementation! I haven't seen comic style story telling yet, so I thought it would be a nice change from the norm.

rix10 - Glad you like the story line, thanks.
