Where do you download stuff to?

I don't know where to download stuff to in SimCity

To your Plugins Folder in My Documents\simCity4\Plugins

The plugins folder. I think most people use the one in "My Documents\SimCity 4" but that doesn't seem to work for me, so I use the one in "C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4"

again, Facelessman has a some good tips. I use the My Documents/SimCity 4/Plugins folder myself. One piece of advice that will save you a ton of time and anguish later on though is to use sub folders to organize your downloads. do not just throw your naked downloads into the plugins folder without doing some kind of organization ahead of time.

It may not seem like you need to when you only have three or four things in there, but when you have 500 MB, 1 GB or more of downloads (like me...) you need some kind of organization.

go slow with plugins...thats the key, test the lot before using in your favorite region...READ the READMEs... follow the instructions...no readme...for now aviod the using the download til your more familiar with the game

I suggest grabbing the SC4tool program...just for it's ability to view the lots stats.

keep your plugins folder orginized so your able fix possible conflicts with custom stuff....happens sometimes... try to avioding this at all costs as it a pain in the butt..:S
