Update 21, Story: A Night in the Forest

    user posted image

They soon come to an intersection as the sky begins to darken as clouds roll in.

Binashu: Which way should we go?

Brad: I think south would be the best way to go, as that is where the city is at.

    Scott: Which way is south?

Tiffany: Why don't you jump up and see if you can see the city? And can someone check through the stuff to see if there is a compass?

*Brian reaches into the bag of stuff and looks around, while Scott flies up and looks around*

    Larissa: Find anything?

Scott: No, too cloudy, its windy up here, though. *he comes back down and lands*

Brian: Found one! ... I think.

Laur: What do you mean "You think"

Brain: It points the same direction no matter which way I turn it, but I still cant read Muphridish. Igrasa, you try it.

Igrasa: South is... that way. *points down the road to their left (right in the picture)*

*There is a loud boom of thunder, which causes Larissa to jump several feet in the air and into Brad, who is knocked backwards a few steps.*

Brad: You're getting heavier, you know that Larissa? I can't carry you around like when you were little anymore.

    Larissa: Sorry.

*The head off up a small hill to a clearing, where they quickly get 3 tents set up before it starts to rain.*

Brad: It's much better in here than out there.

Brian: Cramped, though. (Brad, Brian, Michael and Larissa were all in one tent, with Laur, Binashu, and Scott in another, and Tiffany, Igrasa, and Lauren in the third.)

Michael: Good thing we got all the stuff from the ship, though.

Later that night, after the rain stopped.

Brian: You know, the gutarkha lives out here...

    Larissa: What?

Brian: Big, tall, and fast. Lives in the mountains, too...

    Larissa: Eedp?

Brad: Brian, stop, you're scaring her.

    Brian: What, its real.

*There is suddenly a long, far off roar that sounds somewhat like a cross between a duck quack and a car horn.*

Brian: And it sounds like that.

    *light snoring sound*

Brian: I think I'll go to bed nnn... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    Brad: Me toooo...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Larissa: but what about the gutarkhkhhhzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Page 6! Only took about half a year though...

Update 22, Story: Fourth of July Fireworks

    July 4th, 0150AL

    campsite

Michael: Pesky snoring... good thing I found some earplugs...

Larissa:  Hhuh? Hey, its light out!

    Brad: *snore*

Larissa: Shhh... they're sleeping. but not for long...

*she grabs 2 pots and slowly creeps over to Brian*

    *CLANG!!!!!!*

Brian: It's the blitz! *tries to get out of sleeping bag but just gets tangled up*

Brad: How am I supposed to sleep with all this noise?

Lauren: *pokes head in tent* What's going on over here?

Michael: Larissa decided it would be good to wake Brian up by smashing 2 pots together.

Larissa: Next time, don't try to scare people before bed!

Brian: What? The gutarkha is real!

    Brad: That's not the point.

Brian: Can you at least untangle me?

*Brad and Lauren disentangle Brian from his sleeping bag*

    Brian: Thanks.

    *After eating breakfast*

*there is a distant boom to the north*

    Larissa: What was that?

Brian: I don't know, but I think we should try to see.

Brad: From a safe distance of course.

Michael: So this should be useful. *Pulls out a box containing a telesound machine*

    Brian: Extendable Ears!

Brad: It's amazing what can be found in an alien spaceship...

    rocky hilltop

*They climb to the top of a hill near a rocky outcropping and look down into a valley*

    Terrorist missile site

*Looking down they see a small missile launch site, with a tank of something standing next to it*

    Scott: Try the machine!

*Lauren turns it on, and points it at the missile launcher. At first all they hear is various birds and other animals, but suddenly they hear a pump and voices*

Voice 1: Hurry up and be careful!

    Voice 2: I'm coming, I'm coming.

Voice 1: We need that liquid hydrogen in the missiles now, before someone comes to investigate that boom from the leak!

Voice 2: What, and get another leak?

Voice 3: These missiles won't fill themselves, you know, so stop arguing, otherwise we'll never be able to attack Galesfe!

    Tiffany: Terrorists...

Igrasa: Should I throw a rock down there and try to hit that tank?

Binashu: And just how are you supposed to hit it from here?

*Brian suddenly slips on a mud blob and falls down, kicking a rock in the process, which begins to roll down towards the missiles*

    Igrasa: Like that?

Voice 1: Now look what you did, there's another leak! Quick, turn the hydrogen off!

Voice 1: On second thought, RUN! Big rock going towards the liquid oxygen!

*The terrorists scramble out of the launcher and head down the mountain, away from the others*

*The rock hits the liquid oxygen tank outside the launcher with a loud bang, and both fly into the now open door to the launcher*

    *KABOOOM!!!!!!!!!*

    Brian-induced fireball

*They turn the machine off and look at the fireball*

Brian: Wow, who knew liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen make big fireballs when mixed!

Scott: Well, it is rocket fuel...

    Brian: I knew that.

Brad: Shouldn't we move in case there are more explosions?

    Tiffany: Good point.

Brian and Laur: But I like watching fireballs!

*They head back down the hill to their campsite, and just as they reach it, they hear another boom in the distance, followed by an odd silence*

    to be continued...

    zelgadis: Darkness lifted!

    Marvin: Glad you lik

Update 23: Galesfe City Central Park

    Brad: Can we comment!?
    Brian: Yes, please?
Leech: Okay, it is your city, after all. But don't get too crazy.
    Brian: Yay!

    galesfe2310tq.jpg
Brad: Here is a high-wealth district just west of downtown, surrounded by the raised parks that also are flood guards.
Brian: It would be nice to live here, too bad you can only use the one exit because it's illegal to fly flying cars inside of Galesfe City.

    galesfe2321rp.jpg
Brian: Hey, you can see the Geofront from here!
Brad: I like the big, deep holes in the ground better though. It looks neater from down there to look up.

    galesfe2337ha.jpg
    Brad: Just some shops.
Brian: It's interesting how half the parking ramps just take you right back up again.
*Nikki runs in dragging Nick by his hand*
Brad: June and April may find these more interesting, though.
    Nikki: Can we go?
Nick: But I don't want to shop!
    Brad: We're commenting here.
    Brian: Where'd you come from?
    Nikki: Outside this room.
Brad: Anyway, while you're here, you might as well introduce yourselves, as everyone can hear you.
    Nikki: Oh. *blushes*
    Nikki: I'm Nikki Meiring,--
    Nick: --and I'm Nick Meiring.
Nikki: We're the younger Meiring twins.
Brad: I wonder what people will think when they see all of this?
Nikki: Well, they'll definitely think of something because you just said that, Bradley Patric.
Brian: Well ,now that everyone knows Brad's full name, can we continue with the CJ?
    Nick: I agree.
Nikki: Oh, fine. I still want to go shopping though.

    galesfe2343ls.jpg
Brad: The entire central park is...
    Nikki: And the shops!
Brad: As I was saying, the entire central park is...
Nikki: You're forgetting the shops, Bradley Patric!
Brad: Okay, fine. The entire central park, and the shops, is surrounded by another flood shield, keeping it from being flooded.
Brian: As long as it doesn't fill up like a bathtub.
    Nikki: Brian David!
    Brian: What?
Nikki: The shops are in there!
Brian: Well, you love shopping too much, Nicole Emily.
    Leech: That's enough! Settle down!
    Nick: Next picture, please.

    galesfe2352qw.jpg
Brian: Here is an observation tower that you can see the shops from, as well as the rest of the park, and the surrounding area.
    Nikki: Thank you.
Brad: it would be nice to go there and look out over the nearby area and see all the trees and stuff.
Nikki: Can you take us there so we can go shopping?
Nick: What's this about us? I don't want to go shopping!
    Nikki: But you're still coming.
Brad: Why do you need Nick to come anyway?
Nikki: To carry everything I buy, why else?
    Brian: Oh.

    galesfe2366jp.jpg
Brian: You can't forget about the ancient ruins!
Brad: I don't have any idea of where they're from though.
Brian: It probably says there someplace.
Nick: Looks Greek to me. Or ancient Imnatazhüthken.
Brian: You could also get lost on all of the paths around here.
    Nick: Huh? What happened?
Nick: Nikki! Quit messing with the color!
    Nikki: Sorry.

    galesfe2373ug.jpg
Brad: And here you can see the entire area, from the ruins, to the tower, to the...
    Nikki: Shops!
Brian: Well, that ends out presentation of the Galesfe City Central Park.
Leech: There's still the other people's comments to do yet.
    Brian: Oops, forgot about that.

    Comments:

    jacqulina:
    Brian: I also like explosions!
    Brad: Thanks for commenting!

    fledder200:
Brad: I found something that June and April may like, if they can get to it.
    Nikki: The shops?
    Brian: You're right!
Nick: Thank you for the comment!

    zelgadis:
    Brian: Thank you!
    Brad: Thanks for the comment!

Update 24, Story: Home at Last

    July 4th, 0150AL

    galesfe241qe9.jpg
After walking to the south along the road, they soon come to a farmhouse out in the hills.

Brad: Igrasa, you go ask if we can call home.
    Igrasa: Okay.
*She goes up and knocks on the door, which is quickly answered by the sound of a barking dog*
    Farmer: Hush Kerma!
Farmer: Hello, who might you be?
    Igrasa: I'm Igrasa Zaphe.
Farmer: Igrasa, I'm Glenn Lerist. Hey, wait, aren't you one of the people who vanished at Granon Hogankhum a few days ago?
Igrasa: Yes, and we took a ship from the aliens who took us, got shot down, and crashed in the forest off to the northeast of here. Can we use the phone?
Glenn: I don't see a problem with that, go right ahead.
*The rest of the group comes up, and they go to the phone*
    Igrasa: 483-744-7835...
    *ring... ring...*
    Rachel Meiring (Tiffany's mom): Hello?
Igrasa: Rachel, can you come here and pick us up?
Rachel: You're okay? Is everyone else who was with you before there?
    Igrasa: Yes
Brian: Can you bring our car?
Rachel: I'll need to get someone else to drive it, but I can. Where are you?
    Igrasa: 7533 Darwason Rd.

*20 minutes later, Rachel arrives, along with Ghraje Halatik, Lauren's mom. Brad, Brian, Scott, Binashu, Igrasa, and Michael get in the twins' car, while everyone else gets in the other car.*

    galesfe242ta4.jpg
*Brad pulls a lever to the selection marked "Trans-mode 3", and the pulls back on the steering wheel. The car then lifts gently up into the air -- 10, 20, 30 feet up, and they were soon above the trees surrounding the farmhouse.*
    Brian: Hit the hydrogen!
*Brad floors the accelerator, and the car shoots forward with hardly any effect on the occupants, even though they had just accelerated to around 100MPH in about 5 seconds.*
Scott: Hey look! There's a town down there!
Igrasa: We'll be home in no time now!

    galesfe243cp1.jpg
Brad: We're coming up to the city, so we'll have to land now.
    Binashu: But I like flying!
Brian: It's a pesky law that says you can't fly a car in the city.
Michael: But we just flew over that town back there.
Brad: Towns are okay, but the biggest city in the country is another story.
Igrasa: What's that green cylindrical building over there?
Brian: No idea. Might be something for the geofront, which we're about to enter.
Brad: Which is a lot easier and quicker to drive in because not as many people do.

    galesfe244fi2.jpg
    Brad: And we're here!
Brian: Home is just a little ways farther now!
Brad: Well, our home is, everyone else's is nearby though.

    galesfe245qc4.jpg
    Brian: We're home!
Brad: It seems we beat the others back.
Scott: Well, if you're going at 100+ MPH though the sky, that tends to happen.
    *Nick walks into the room*
Nick: Hello! It was too quiet here without you.
Nick: *quietly* And Nikki was way to distracting...
    *Nikki come in*
Nikki: Where'd you go shopping at?
    Brian: The Boritok
    Nikki: Where's that?
Brian: No idea, possibly somewhere on Vinawasho.
Igrasa: It's nice to be back somewhere familiar.

    Comments:
Brian: Please comment, it will make us happy to know that you've met us!
    Brad: What Brian said.

    jacqulina: Glad you like it!

zelgadis: It just takes time to do it... And a basic idea of what you want to make.

Update 25: The weather's gone crazy!

    January 21st, 0151AL

    galesfe251ac5.jpg

As Brad, Brian, Larissa, Michael, Nick, Nikki, and Tiffany all got into Brand and Brian's car so they could look at the new building, Brad glanced at the outside temperature reading on the console, which read 72F / 22C, and Brian got in the driver's seat.

Nikki: Are we going shopping anywhere?

Brian: Only if there is a gift shop at the Polarka Tower --

Brad: -- and if we have time.

Larissa: But we're still going to the world's tallest building!

Nick: It would be nice to not have to go to school tomorrow.

Tiffany: Igrasa says we won't have school, and won't be going for quite some time.

    Nick: How does she know?

Tiffany: I'm not sure, but she says she just knows.

Brad: That would definitely be nice.

    galesfe252tm3.jpg

Brian: Oh my, I think we'll be waiting for awhile.

Brad *looking at the GPS on the console screen* And traffic is backed up 2 blocks down the road.

Michael: At least we're the first in the line to go.

    Nick: Come on, move!

*The traffic jam on the other street moves somewhat, but no opening appears where they can go though.*

Nick: Not like that, a hole was supposed to appear!

*5 minutes and several honkings later the traffic jam finally dissipates.*

    Tiffany: Finally...

    galesfe253ct3.jpg

*They soon get to the Polarka Tower, and as they get out, the wind begins to pick up*

Tiffany: Ahw, you can't see the top because of the clouds!

Brad: No point in going to the observation deck, with all these clouds.

Brian: We can still go inside, though.

Larissa: Where'd the clouds come from?

    Nikki: I don't know.

*They go inside and look around though the gift shop, and they find some pictures of the view from the observation deck, a pamphlet with info on the building, and a model of the tower.*

Larissa: it's just not the same as going up and actually looking around...

Brian: We can come back some other time, when clouds don't suddenly appear.

*They go back out to the car, and are hit with a blast of cold air as they exit the building*

    Nikki: Why's it so cold?

    Nick: What's the temperature?

    Brad: Hmm...

*He looks at the console thermometer, which reads 44F / 7C.*

Brad: It's only 44 out now!

Tiffany: Something strange is definitely going on...

    galesfe254lu8.jpg

The top of the Polarka Tower, 12795ft / 3900m up in the air. The upper 4921ft / 1500m is a giant subspace communications antenna, built to contact the other known planets much easier.

    galesfe255go5.jpg

*As they travel back home, it begins to rain, heavier and heavier, until it becomes hard to see.*

Nikki: Yuck, at least we got back to the car before this started.

Tiffany: yes, this definitely would not be nice to be out in, cold and wet.

    galesfe256zg4.jpg

*Just as quickly as the rain started, it changed to a mixture of freezing rain, sleet, and snow, and the air soon fills with fog*

Tiffany: Hey, this should cancel school!

Brian: But it makes it harder to drive. *Brian pulls the control lever to "Trans-mode 2" from "Trans-mode 1". The car shakes, then quickly becomes much easier to control*

Brian: Still can't see very well though.

*Several minutes later they get home, and look outside at the thickening foggy snowstorm, watching the street slowly be covered in snow, before it disappears in the fog*

TV announcer: It has just been decided that all schools in the Galesfe City Metropolitan Area will be closed, due to the incl-*

    Everyone: YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No SCHOOL!!!!!!!

    Comments:

zelgadis, Schulmanator: It does go faster than 100kph, as it was going over 100MPH / 161kph.

Brian: Its top speed is somewhere around 300MPH / 480kph, --

Brad: -- but we're not sure what it is exactly, it depends on the atmospheric conditions

Marvin: You'll have to go to Myon to get one, or wait until they start being sold on Earth.

DarkEldar: It was an SCJU full member at one point...

yarabundi, 6u, Voulpiotis: Glad you like it!

    Update 26: After the storm

    galesfe261cx3.jpg

The west M-GCL bridge over the Yanar River, surrounded by fog from the warmer river. The highways are about the only places that are clear of snow (other than the Geofront), and residents are advised not to try to drive anywhere unless they can do so through the geofront. The government can still run effectively, as they have hovercraft transportation, but most of the city has been shut down by the snow.

    galesfe262og4.jpg

Same shops as back in update 23, but now after being covered in snow, while the fog hovers over the area. Somehow, the palm trees turned into pine trees as the storm came in... I wonder if Nikki wants to go there now?

    galesfe263pl7.jpg

The Lkety Tower, the former planet's tallest building. It is located on its own island in the Yanar River, and is 7290 feet / 2222 meters tall. The water between the island and the mainland has frozen due to the cold temperatures, but the ice is too thin to support the weight of anyone trying to go out on it, so don't try. That fog is still hanging around, and you can see the M-11 bridge in the background.

    Comments:

Now, where did everyone go? Too cold?

By the way, back in the real world, from the time I got up until now its been snowing and blowing all over the place outside, creating big drifts in front of people's garages, and causing all sorts of problems.

    owenluby: Thanks for the comment!

AF-1 and AF-12 ready for launch!

    galesfe264zv7.jpg

A squadron of 7 AF-12s (rear V), 3 AF-1s (front V), and 2 SB-7s (left and right of the AF-1s) out making a training flight over the west M-GCL bridge. The AF-1 is Myon's original fighter, mainly good for dogfighting, with 2 plasma cannons. The AF-12 is a more recent and advanced ship, with twice the firepower as the AF-1 (4 plasma cannons), and is also capable of carrying bombs or missiles, unlike the AF-1. The SB-7 is a small bomber, and is equipped with 4 plasma cannons for self-defence.

    Download here

The SB-7 is not included in the file, but can be made by placing 2 flying AF-1s next to eachother on level ground.

    Update 27: Lkety Tower

    Brad: Hello!

    Brian: Ama!

Brad: We're doing the update stuff again.

Brian: Hopefully there won't be any intrusions this time.

    galesfe271xp0.jpg

    galesfe278oe7.jpg

    galesfe279pm0.jpg

    galesfe2710mh0.jpg

    Brian: That's Lkety Tower.

Brad: The whole building, all --

Brian: -- 7290 feet of it.

Brad: It's still snowy out there, so the city is still closed, but --

Brian: -- we're in the Polarka Tower, somewhere around 7870 feet up looking --

Brad: -- out over everything else.

Brian: It helps to have a car that can just drive over the snow --

Brad: -- without sinking in and getting stuck.

Brad: Anyway, here's some info on Lkety Tower.

    ...

    Brad: Brian?

Brian: Huh? Oh, construction on Lkety Tower began on May 7th, 0107AL, and was finished on July 12th, 0113AL.

Brad: It has a titanium frame, is 7290 feet high, --

Brian: -- That's 2222 meters for those of you who use the metric system, --

Brad: -- and it has 750 floors.

Brian: It is located on 1 North Yanar River St. in Central Galesfe, --

Brad: -- and it was opened on July 15th, 0113AL.

Brian: At least that is when the opening ceremonies were, it took awhile to fill up the rest of the building with offices and stuff.

Brad: The companies that occupy it are Gales Hemenov, Hemenov Auto, Myon Hotels, Symon's Pest-Whoppers, 83 Computer Command.

Brian: I don't think all of those have information right now though.

Brad: There's also some small companies in there as well.

Brian: Next update will most likely be the Bukhej Dabqa Tower.

    Comments:

    zelgadis:

Brad and Brian: We're glad you like it!

    Simfan34:

Brian: I'm assuming you mean the 2 tallest buildings, Lkety and Polarka Tower.
