Lol, this is kinda funny, not my favourite moment but is a very good laugh.

Goldeneye 007, Facility level with bond invisible, infinite ammo and any other cheat you want (slow or fast animation work well). When you leave the toilets, turn left, instead of going down the stairs, and then through the double doors, down these stairs is a guard in the corner. Now take out your remote mines and cover the wall behind him with them, put some on the floor aswell, now take a few step backs and marvel at your wall of mines and hit detonate. The guard should fly about 6 foot in the air and go about 8 foot forward. It is sooooooo funny when you see it!!!11.gif

A classic:

Thank you mario, but the princess is in another castle!

Some other good video game quotes:
1)I can't even defeat you with this Magnificent Body!? -Sigma, Megman X3
2)My scheme for world domination has faild! -Mr. X, Megaman 6 (it's spelled like that in the game)
3)Don't have time to play with myself... -Duke Nukem, Duke 3D, upon seing the Duke Nukem arcade game
4)I always said if there was a way to go, it would have something to do with women, whips, and oil!
-Duke Nukem, Manhattan project, on approaching the robotic Woman with an electric whip (a boss) on the oil rig.
5)Looks like your hardware's gone a little soft, Morphix! -Duke Nukem, Manhattan project, on disabling the bad guy's helicopter.
6) Come on out morphix! There's only two ways this can end, and in both of them, you die! -Duke Nukem, Manhattan project, taunting Mech Morphix.

If you always take the same road, you will never see anything new.

Well, there are a couple, but homeworld's (first version) ending when the kushans re-conquer hiigara is quite touching... Or at least it was for me... Another two worth mentioning are Terranigma and Illusion of Gaia's endings...

Well, this had to have been the most memorable moment in my gaming life.

About 4:30 AM, my eyes dilated, Mountain Dew running through my blood vessels. My friends went to bed hours earlier, and the house was filled with an erie quiet. I would have dozed off hours ago, but I was playing Halo 2 campaigns. When I finally beat it, it was just amazing. I would have screamed if it wouldn't have ben so late, but I couldn't. I won't forget that soon.12.gif

I'll always remember the first time I encountered the final battle sequence against Zemus/Zeromus of FF2 for the SNES (FF4 Japan) back in... hmmm... '94 or so?  I got so sucked into the plight of the characters, I almost felt like I was there trying to prevent the victory of evil.  Great ending sequence, too.

I think my most memorable gaming moments was the first time I played Resident Evil. Near the start of the game, you come to a long hallway, quiet an spooky. Suddenly, demon dogs burst through the windows allong one side of the hall...I nearly jumped out of my skin!
No game has ever been able to startle me like that since.

My favorite moment?  I'm going to have to go with a game ending.  The final battle and the ending of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has to be on top.  It is, by far, the best ending I've ever seen.

Second place goes to the first time I hit 500,000 people in SimCity classic.  The whole family got to see me pass 500K.  Aren't they supportive?

Mine is a game-ender, too.  (And the very first part of a game-beginner, too.)

The sequence after your team wins the Stanley Cup in EA Sports NHL 2005 is incredible.  Very gratifying.  It goes something like this:

On-ice players' equipment goes flying everywhere, everyone races on ice and piles on goalie, other team skates off ice after handshake, commisionner hands Stanley Cup to captain of team, captain skates a lap around rink w/ Cup, hands Cup to teammate . . . . . . then the team photo!  Zoom-in on each player of Cup-winning team . . . . . . end of sequence.

Beginning part:

At the first home game of the year, there's a special ceremony:  the Stanley Cup (or the conference championship if you lost) banner-raising ceremony.  It's very gratifying.

got a couple

Thief Classic, Down in the Boneyards, you are in search of the Horn of Quintis. when you reach the cavern near the end, you are confronted by very large, elaborate columns. meanwhile, an eerie tune blairs throughout the caverns - that is the horn you are after. as you begin to go through the caverns, you find one of the spookiest creatures created in all of gaming...the zombies.

Half-Life 2 has so many: anytime you come across the Striders is a special moment. at the very end (HERE BE SPOILERS), a large generating is exploding, surely to kill both you and the lovely Alyx. but wait...the famed G-Man appears, literally stopping time. you are transported into the waiting area, where once again you spend time in limbo, waiting for the next time for the G-Man to use you. Does Alyx and her father die? hmmmm.

MVP Baseball 2004: the first time i turned a double play, the instant replay went into effect. it showed the toss to the shortstop, the shortstop leaping into the air...then the camera stopped, moved around the field a.la The Matrix, then showed the throw to first in a different angle. spectacular.

SimCity 4 actually doesn't have a specific moment for me...it is a moment which has been slowly building, and it is thanks to this site. slowly but surely, many a modification has been presented to us, giving us the ability to make truely spectacular regions thanks to mods such as the snowcap, desert, water color, rock color...the list goes on.

Whisper words of wisdom

in MGS 3 when you meet The Sorrow, this isn't my true favourite thing, but it's quite scary!

You know, I've beaten the final boss(es) like 5 times in the past 2 days cause I've been bored, and I agree, it was pretty cool, but I don't see why they couldn't have let Link marry one of his many girlfriends, such as Malon, Saria or Zelda, but not Ruto, she's a smart-alec. Anyway, they could've at least let you marry one of them, or like, become like a Royal Family hero, having pictures of him pasted beside those of Mario, Peach, et al, and having been able to visit the castle whenever he wants, without having to sneak by the guards.

Max Payne II -- On the Second Vodka level. Turn on invincibility and ran towards the room with the explosives, ignoring everyone else. Stand near the door so the door closes the moment they tried to open them. After a few seconds you'll see people piling up on the other side of the door trying to open it.

007 Agent Under Fire - Watching my brother placing Remote mines behind him, jump, and detonate. He managed to shoot himself cross the map starting from the right balcony in Town.

Worst moment:

SSBM - My brother and I is in a mini tornament match between some of our friends and we (as usual) duel each other in the final round, me as Yoshi and him as Pikachu. Coincidence happens when we died at the EXACT same time, but he won because he's using the player 1... 32.gif32.gif

Can't really think of memorable moments in gaming per se, but the scariest moment for me was in Doom 3.

In that level where you had this cubicle with this fat guy on it, blood and guts all over. I took a closer look him, just to admire the realism of the graphics and then he sprang to life. 3.gif

My friend and I jumped half a metre and blasted him into oblivion 11.gif.

I have several - including that moment in the 1st corridor in Resident Evil one with the dogs that burst thru the windows.

Another is when i was in my first massed battle in Planetside - it was amazing - up until then I had been in small scale actions - and this battle was HUGE - something like 200 or 300 troops on all sides fighting a massive battle for control of 1 base....

Watching the sun rise/set in Morrowind - so beautiful.

And also realising that the sun etc in World Of Warcraft sets according to 24hr real time.

My fave moment has to be the first time I played MarioKart 64 with 3 other people - that game was mint - amazing tracks and a real fun attitude as well.

I would have to say when I first saw spore's screenshots and descriptions, that was the best gaming moment for me - all the games I have not one was as explosive as that on my mind... And the FF series, FF7 when Aries is killed by Sephroth and Cloud takes her to the water, FF8's beginning (Wow, that was sweet!), and now FFX's begininng (Call me evil but it is so exhilarating to watch a uge city be destroyed by a higher power).

    Hmmm... games... Can't get enough...

Here is one of many. There more funny then "momentic"

In Battlefront 2, you can throw grenades down a staircase and blow everyone on it up.

In Ghost Recon 2, you can plant a time bomb and then tell your team to wait there. Step back and watch them fly like 20 feet into the air.

In Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2, You may wipe out so badly  your car is on its nose spinning out at about 100 spins per second, and you can watch the poor guy you smashed into go probably a mile into the air then land, stay still for a while, and drive away.

In Burnout:Revenge, you might crash, then make your car blow up into pieces to destroy rivals

well actually it is a whole level: the first Splinter Cell where you have to infiltrate into the CIA building in Langley and search for a mole in the organisation, AMAZING!!!

Also an amazing moment was the point where you were to engage into a major battle in the snow in Halo, i thought the level was called Two Betrayels....
Really cool, all those flood fighting the Covenant and you're just watching and waiting till it's your turn. 9.gif
