    8) No, a dollar is a "silver dollar". An eagle is a "gold eagle". It's more than a dollar. There were also double eagles, half eagles, and quarter eagles.

From last time) On closer inspection it seems I may have misread the table. Those numbers may be specifically for 0.2% carbon hot rolled steel, which, glancing at the numbers given for ultimate strength, is the weakest type listed. It gives only one value for allowable stress and elastic modulus. My professor said the elastic modulus number applied to all kinds... maybe it just doesn't have specific stress data for the stronger steel.

Anyway, the fact that someone even produced an answer on that one surprised me. I thought that would sound like gibberish to most people. Are you an engineer or studying to be one?

...and with that, it's time for this game to enter another recess. As usual, no date for round 4 is set. It's "whenever I'm ready".

Yeah, you picked the wrong time to ask that one! 17.gifI am an engineer - and I've recently been doing seismic strengthening work which particularly involves extra-high-tensile strength steel!
