make sure they arent abandoned and have the proper amount of power and water.

this is a little offtopic though.

You need to download all of the updates and patches from the official site. You might have missed one of the updates.

Although I had the same problem for a while. I could have sworn that I had all of the updates, but I still had no night lights.
