Here`s another one of my bats.

It`s not finished by far!!
It will be a small 5-star restaurant.

    I think the moddeling is done for now. I`ll begin texturing it tonight.

    Looking good so far.  You'll need to do some interior modelling to allow that glass roof to work.  If you do that it may also be worth using transparent windows in the walls too - rather than Maxis night windows.

    thanks for your comment rp, the interior modelling is planned, and there are transparant windows used in this bat, but i didn`t do a floor yet, so it doesn`t show that well. And about the maxis night lights; is there another way to let windows light at night without the prefix -night- ?? If so, can you explain how to do that.

    I like that building a lot, it's almost Art Deco, certainly 1930s style.  What kind of textures will you be using for the walls?  I reckon a brick texture for the ground floor and a white stucco for the upper floor would look good 1.gif

    I love the tables and chairs by the way, they're really detailed.

    I did some texturing (some small detials needs a texture. like the door on the first floor), and the interior moddeling is finished.
    When I`m done with the small details i`ll render it and then i`ll test it in-game.
     
     
    @Lord_bertrum: the water is a sunken pool
     
    @GaryReggea: I`ve release the tables and chairs (and some other stuff) as .gmax models on the stex, (link in my sig) use them as you please, no credit needed
     
    @Ill Tonkso: you got your tiled flooring outside (44.gif) I like it, thanks for the tip

    I'd advise changing the roof texture. Try out the Maxis one, Try:
    MaxisAshphaltRoof.jpg
    and
    Concrete_bump.jpg.

    I personally think the first one will work the best for that roof.

    Other than that, it looks great.2.gif

    That is MaxisAshphaltRoof I use for the roof, but you`re right about changing the roof texture, it`s kinda busy the way it is now.

    Let me try some different textures.

    Hmmm... I agree that the first roof texture was too busy. However, I fear that the new one looks a tad too clean & light for my taste. Maybe it would look best if you found something inbetween these two extremes? 41.gif

    Anyway, I wanted to seize the occasion to thank you for the great stuff you contributed to the STEX. I'm currently usinbg your adult store and the Redfish book store, and I like both! Here's a bunny for ya: 35.gif

    i think the outside looks great, but I think the buildings textures aren't all that great.

     
    if you have photoshop you can use it to define your texture as a pattern, and then use that to help make custom textures, which I think would help a ton.  I think the colors and style of the textures you have now is good, but not neccecarly the textures themselves...
     
    anyways, the table area and nightlites are lookin realy good.

    Another project i`m currnetly working on: a Small modern library (well, for now it`s a library)

    Just a quick question:

    what do i upload to the stex if i want to upload a plopable version AND a growable version of a bat?
    Do i need to upload 1x .sc4model file, 2x .sc4desc file (growable and plopable), and 1x .sc4lot file?

    As it's a Residential building, you definitely need a lot more windows in the left hand building, people wouldn't live inan apartment with not many windows!  Apart from that, it's very good, very contemporary.

    The side you are seeing now was originally the backside of the building, but i flipped it around, because this side looks more of a frontside then a backside (that`s why i didn`t put alot of windows in the lefthand building, that`s now the main entrance lobby)
    Still Alot of work to do (details, texturing, lightning, etc)
