    An excellent BAT and a great memorial for all of us, let us not forget those who were injured, sometimes they're forgotten about as we think of the dead. Many people have to go on with missing limbs and shattered lives.

    oh, anyone know why the tiled roof texture rendered strangely? i've also started the new part of the station (shouldn't take too long), this is just the winter garden.

    Hey JEC,

    Wow! That thing is massive and extraodinary! I can't wait to have that in one or more of my cities, also how will the trains get out with the tracks level below street level?

    A little bit off-topic:

    Does anybody want to create a Cercanias-train?

    @MikeBear:

    I shot a photo of an underground station: somehow with a devils message. There are many pentagrams in the roofs and the sign of the spanish commute trains on the top. Rumors that this station opened 666 days before the march 11, 2004 are not true (it's much older).

    This is simply stunning JEC! Looks so good. Can't wait to dl it.

    @GoaSkin

    This sounds a bit very strange.
    Pentagrams are no devil messages, it's totally the opposite: pentagrams are protecting symbols, not evil. They are drawn to protect from demons! So if you look at this from this point, the trains should've been protected by the pentagrams.
    Sorry for off topic41.gif

    hey, thanks everyone.

    GoaSkin, i have though of making the cercanias-trains, the ave trains, and the metro (8000) trains, but i don't know how to do graphics.

    but i do know how to make really big bats:
    aerial.JPG

    the winter garden doesn't have any exporting errors, just the usual virtual memory limit (which could be a problem this time).
    but, i haven't decided exactly how i am going to divide the puerta de atocha,

    btw, currently the lot size will be 13 x 41 [:0]14.gif

    wow that is amazing 44.gif
    might it be better to split the old building and new into 2 seperate lots? 13x41 sounds a bit big 14.gif
    I may give an AVE train skin a try, i cant model but i can re-skin and its very similar to a TGV model

    JEC - would you mind rotating that little building next to the terminal, and releasing it seperately?

    I like it very much.

    thanks.

    I don't think there is a better way then this building in remberence of the 3/11 Madrid bombings. This is an astoudingly great BAT and I am very looking forward to see it complete. The size ... it fits nicely on a big city tile and man will my rail look more realistic then ever.

    Thanks in advance for a truly great BAT.

    I think there are some airports with a bigger size.

    @JEC: I cannot run any software for creating models. To create train skins you need to create one bitmap file where the graphics of all sides are merged one after another.

    I think Trolca or Mikeseith can help you with that. Just have a look to the Topic Train MODs in the forum Modding - Open Discussion!

    Hey JEC, iwas going to propose this building before the anniversary of the bombings, actually i did try it, but it didn't get posted, don't know why. I'm currently living in Madrid and i can tell you that is a very acurate building you got there, very nice, but you could also do the circular building which is the one above the cercanias station at one side of the cloktower. But nice all the same!!!!!

    Are you going to post it in the stex? i would love to have it in my city

    This could easily be split into two lots that could work either seperately or could be placed next to each other.

    ardecila, are you talking about the small building in the bottom right corner? if so, i could probably do that.

    GoaSkin, thanks for that information, now that i think about it, the models aren't a problem, for the 8000 metro i could use the bart trains, the tgv for the ave, and i know there is one i could use for the cercanias.

    hopefully i'll be able to release this building here, and at capitalsimcity.com
    oh and thebestguy, i'n already a step ahead of you 2.gif :

    the parking is higher than it really is for it to work well in simcity, so i placed a memorial there, instead of the entrance (the circular building).
