All the proposals will be handled later as I have much to do in school now and on friday it's my birthday and I shall take a short break from school and visit my parets for a few days! But I will post a short update below! :)

    Replies:

SimCoug: Thanks mate! Yes it's a great building and you can download it here:

City_Master: Thank you! I hope it will go forward in the future, but the city has stalled a bit no demand for commercial and industry at all and I really don't know what to do about it! :O Any suggestions? Your proposal will be handled later if I can find that Moscow residential building. Can't seem to see it in the landmark tab or does it show up somewhere else?

Samima: Glad you liked it! I will rename the building that in next time I play! :)

SIMplemente: Great to hear that! The city council will reserve a room for your arrival in the top floor of the new hotel!

vivapanda: Thanks! This is probably the best town I have ever done I must admit that. :)

sim_link: Great that you like the interaction part! I hope to keep it up in the future to! :) Your proposal has partly been handled one building will show up in the update below. The other will probably come in the update after that.

samima x2: The city council will consider your proposal!

zahrul3: Thanks! I will take a look at that airport pack when I have more time hopefully next week. Your proposal is under evaluation from the city council at the moment!

Benedict: Thanks! I'm really honoured to have achived the nr. 1 spot!

samima x3: Thanks mate hope to keep it up! :D

jacksunny: Thanks! I never thought I would be able to get to the nr. 1 spot acctually this was a really big surprise!

Update 15 - A ferry wheel and an highrise!

As the city council saw the need to approve more office space they approved a suggestion from SIM_link engineering about a highrise a bit outside of downtown. It was also supposed to have a large parking area around the building to accommodate all the employees cars. But to conserve space the city council rejected the parking lots around the building and instead built a large parking house with underground access to the new office highrise. The parking facility can host over 10 000 cars at one time and is used but by the employees and by employees from companies around the building. The building is also strategically situated close to the exhibition hall and also has its own subway station to serve it.

    Hampton-2Dec1131335190331.png

Down by the coast close to the newly built hotel the indian and chinese developers opened up the largest ferry wheel in Cape Barren. From the top you see the landscape for miles around and it's a great tourist magnet, most of them stays at the hotel so they won't have to walk far. It only costs 10 HD (Hampton Dollars aproximatly around 4-5 USD). To take a ride in this new attraction hopefully this will be one of the cities landmarks for years to come!

    Hampton-13Jun1111335108542.png

This update was pretty short but I hope enjoyed it!

Comments and suggestions is always welcome! Any proposals to if you would like to submit one!

Just have one problem at the moment, the city won't grow any more, there is no demand for any commercial and industry at all but a huge demand for apartments. Any idea what I should do?

I like your use of the Ferris wheel! My suggests for the growth problem would be to either grow what you have in demand, Residential, and hope that this will rise the demand for commercial and industry as the new people will need jobs. Alternatively, you could download a demand mod off the STEX. A demand mod usually makes the demand for everything to go up. :)

Great Ferris wheel and park. As ee99 pointed out, you will need to zone for more residential in order to get your Ind and Com demand back up. You could start some suburban sprawl, or you could zone for some high density apartments/condos downtown. Good luck.

    great update! :D

Hmm, i'm not really sure. maybe all the plopping of buildings has made the demand for commercial and industry to go down?

But i agree with SimCoug and ee99, you might need to make the city spread out and have some sprawl :P

Moscow red, i remember when i had installed it, i think it can only be growable? I'm not sure.

With that, here's the developers again :D

    ______

The indian and Chinese developers have scratched the moscow red, and have thought of a new proposal. 2 new towers, the first a mixed use commercial and hotel and the next one, another mixed use unit/apartment and office tower :D

There is no demand because you crashed the demand by plopping those large CO$$$ towers to sustain request. One large CO$$$ tower sustains 6000+ jobs, and needs to be sustained by a combined R$$ and R$$$ workforce of over 5000, and thats why apartments are in high demand.

Industrial demand is usually parallel with CO/CS demand, low CO/CS demand usually means low I-M/I-HT demand.

Just another thing, to counter the demand bursting you should get some apartment BATs(preferably non-HKABT/European to mix in) to make the apartments more varied.

Well I haven't decided to quit this CJ. But I have so much to do in real life at the moment. I barely have time to sit by the computer, I hope I can get an update out as soon as possible but I can't say a date when it will come out. :)

Hope all my readers will come back when I post the next update!

Update 16 - Cape Barren is back!

After a long abscence I'm back with a new update from Cape Barren! Haven't played much since last time so if you have anything you want to see just tell me and I will take a photo of it. Or maybe you want to develope something? It can be a single building, residential, commercial area or maybe a completly new suburb to Hampton. That would be fun! :)

    Hampton-6Dec1221340195844.png

In Hampton the city has opened a brand new zoo. This will teach all thoose city kids how nature works and they can see living animals!

    Hampton-20Mar921334423744.png

A microwave power plant was opened to accommodate for the ever increasing power demand in Cape Barren. This is very new technology that our scientists have come up with hopefully it will be as clean as they say!

If we travel east along the freeway we will eventually end up in the new suburb of Sherwood. It's a pretty rural suburb with just over 7000 citizens but hopefully it will grow in the future. Here is a common sight in Sherwood, lots and lots of houses. At the moment there isn't a single apartment building in this suburb and the citizens fight back against every plan to build apartments here. They just want their quite suburb with no cheap apartments.

    Sherwood-1Jul081340196414.png

But Sherwood acctually has a small downtown, but it's bustling with activity. People are shopping, eating, taking a coffee here every day. Most people never go to Hampton for shopping since they have all they need in Sherwood.

    Sherwood-12Jul081340196469.png

And this is what most people work with in Sherwood, farming! It's Sherwood that provides Cape Barren with most of the food and other supplies which is requested by the citizens.

The Sherwood city council has great plans to build even more farms around the town as it's a great income source because humans always need food.

    Sherwood-24Jul081340196529.png

Hopefully I will have more to show in the coming update, but I hope you enjoyed it! :)

As usual if you have any comments and suggestions please write them below! Development proposals of all kinds is accepted!

    Regards,

    Hampi

Great to see you back! Lovely rural suburb, nice and quiet but still very much alive!

Would it to be possible to see a larger picture of the whole downtown area? I'd love to see how much it's grown since the start! :D

And if it's no hassle, would you like another downtown :D

    Welcome back, Iike the farms,

    I have two proposals:

    Proposal 1:

    Proposal 2:

Maybe you could make a neighborhood, or add it to one of the cities. Just to add a new religion to the country.

Thanks. And, i hope you consider my proposal.

    Replies:

SimCoug: Yes that's a good plan! We have to encourage more meat industry to come to Cape Barren! :P

Citymaster: Thank you! It feels pretty fun to be back here. :) That proposal looks interesting!

samima: Thanks! Excellent proposal you will see the result below!

    =========================================================================================================================================================

Update 17 - Overview photo of Hampton and a new religious group!

Hampton is buzzing with activity as usual. Close to the central station a new large apartment building was built, with only really expensive apartments.

    Hampton-28Jul1271340272534.png

To the west of the central station several new large apartment complexes was built, to accommodate all the new citizens which arrive to Cape Barren every day. This area also is home to most of Hamptons muslim population. Which has lead to the construction of Cape Barrens first mosque, it's really a beautiful building.

    Hampton-28Jul1271340272335.png

This area is under heavy development as we speak. The city council is preparing plans to expand this residential area and has drawn up a plan for it. But if it will pass the city has to buy up the three farms which lie inside the proposed area. It will not be cheap since the farmers knew that their land is of great interest.

Black = Roads of differents sizes

Orange = Public places like parks and plazas

    Green = Residential areas

    Blue = Commercial areas

    Hampton-28Jul1271340272515-1.png

In this new residential and commercial area several thousand new sims will be able to live. It will also require large investments in infrastructure, like buses, subway and roads to accommodate for the extra traffic.

The city council has also ordered a aerial photo over the city, to see how much it has grown over the years. This is a good way to plan for future projects. And Hampton has grown alot since it's founding.

    Hampton-6Dec1221340271258.png

It's really starting to become a metropolis!

Comments and suggestions is most welcome!

Oh wow! Great update! :D The city sure has grown and the downtown area looks amazing! the suburbs are also great! :D

And that new development looks great too! Looks like it will work well! All of the new housing and jobs! :D +1!

And the investors still greatly love Cape Barren!

Here are a few proposals they've managed to come up with.

A nice luxury apartments along the beach front where ever it suits best.

A small office outside the CBD along one of the main roads.

Samsung has had great interests in the city centre as well, they think it will be a great addition to your city.

Looking forward to seeing the next update! As usual :P:D
