I think the money tree lot (initially very clever...with it money does grow on trees...) is a little passe.  BSC Funding has been suggested.  You can even download the extra cheats dll and insert whatever amount of cash you need.  The details are pinned to the top of this forum.  If you have a lot that only churns out cash, it's easy to forget/manage the game.  While the game was set up for you to use your intellect to build cash, there are more clever ways to do it.  A search of the stex should help.

I saw the money tree on Simcity.ea.com. I beleive it is here as well but the 'money' search rarely works on my CPU.

If you really want money trees, my search for "money" gave me three pages of results, but here are two from the first page that looked promising:

Daeley's Click for Cash Money Lots and a 3x3 park full of Money Trees.

Personally, I think it's easier to use the Extra Cheats DLL.  Extract it to your root plugins folder.  Do not place it in a subfolder.  While the game is running, hit Ctrl+X to open the cheat bar (it will appear in the upper left of the screen).  Right-click on the cheat bar and left-click moolah, hit the spacebar, now type the amount of money you want to have and press enter.  This will not add money to the amount you already have; it will set your coffer to the amount you type.  If you have a million simoleons and type 500000, you will end up with half as much as you had before.  To change the million to one and half million, you must type 1500000.  Visit this thread to find out what the other cheats do.

It's on the Maxis site, centre button top of screen in region. You have to register, you need your serial number. However the cheatsDLL mod is better, The money tree gives you too much money.

the maxis site is "broken" you can't register your copy of the game (at least, i can't) no matter how you type in the seriel number it keeps telling you its already in use or incorrect.

That isn't necessarily true. I bought 2 copies of the game and both CD keys didn't work. The site is a mound of crap, that is the problem. In short, don't use it.

Anyone: if you need to update the game, get the BAT, etc, use SC4D, they have all the downloads without the requirement to register.

I'm having issue's with EA's site saying it was successfully downloaded installed, when it wasn't. I go to the exact location it said it was installed which is Backroom/Documents/SimCity 4/Plugins/ and nothing is in there, very weird. So I've tried manually installing things into the Plugins folder and they still don't show up in the game. Any ideas?

If there is a website where the download is hosted except for SimCity.com, try it. The website is pretty buggy...

The money tree is avalible on this site, however i would reccomend the Click for Cash Lots instead. They are less buggy and work better than the money tree. The click for cash lots will never crash the game, but the moeny tree will.
