Welcome to the 9th page! mmm... Eye-pleasing tricks... Can't wait for more! BTW it's the 240th post!

Nice interchange you have there! Although the colors of the big dig tunnels are a bit dazzling... Maybe replace it with Ill Tonkso's underground motorways? My 2 cents

2ch.net simplayer has released the onoden building... Download here. I found this on Ragutaro's BBS... It's the tokyo dome, made by an author by the name of kei, found here, download here. His(her) website can be found here, other downloads are available from the links in the second light bluish box from the bottom. EDIT: I might make a tutorial for this website... some props needed for some lots... BTW, pnorrell, that lucent tower is not from the same author as that midland square... the author of lucent tower also made the midland square, but the midland square you posted is much better (linkie to his bat showcase, although the corse building below is mysteriously not included) The author's name is Shi Huangdi (shi-ko-tei), and has recently released the fictional Corse Building: The midland square you posted is from this website. Hope this helps -
I like the lake pic! very... tranquil

UPDATE FOUR POINT FIVE Teaser update. What’s this got to do with turmoil? Hmm… REPLIES Alfred.Jones: I’m working on it! Yoman3: Glad you liked it! Your coastlines are one of my favorite! Jaqulina: Thank you Bat: Zelgadis: If you meant the black building in the university complex, it is the rock and roll hall of fame on the STEX. I f you meant the port tower, it is the Chiba port tower found here. DanTso: Actually I didn’t know how to use the new NAM’s rail curve when I did that… Frogface: Thanks!

Awesome!! Your roads are extremely well-planned, especially the perfect highways. Six flags and Mount Olympus are looking just great! Very nice transition from colorful to quaint... BTW, nice usage of the squatty tokyo tower
-
Excellent use of the canals by oppie! the W2W district is looking extremely good
-
Looking forward to further development of the marina district... And do something about those blurry pics!

UPDATE FOUR Downtown Shagrin: This is the Daily Shagin’s new headquarters building, undergoing final stages of construction, when the first issue was printed. It read like this: A district! Imagine that! In the meanwhile, construction is commencing on the capital: The waterfront is undergoing a makeover. Before: After: Partnering with Funabashi, the Chiba- Shagrin Port Tower is built: Suburbia: Founded directly after the birth of Shagrin (city), suburbia is a semi-urban (duh!) residential area to the east of Shagrin. Development so far: An experimental microwave receiving facility has been set up in the mountains: In Shagrin, education is greatly valued. The newly established Northern University: Carpathia Academy: Suburbia High: Bob’s room has a great view: REPLIES Rymac91: Glad you liked it! They aren’t popular anymore… Cjah: Thanks! A little break from the transportation network this time… Porter66083: Hehe Traff: Really!? Thank you for visiting Schulmanator: Sorry, the engineers are too busy at this time. Please call later. Thanks for commenting every time! Next update: Turmoil

UPDATE THREE NOTE: In the past week or two, I have not been able to update because A. I was busy, and B. I had planned a big update (bigger than usual). Thus this update is labeled #3 instead of #2.75. And back to your regularly scheduled program… Monument donated by the city of Yellowknife The newly formed Shagrin Committee of Transportation, or the SCT decided on making the highways going through downtown be sunken, except for a short diagonal stretch impossible to alter, for what they called “visual issues”. Under construction: Completed section: Raised Parks: Diagonal sunken highway bridges: Where does that HSR track lead to, you ask? As you can see, the airport is nowhere near finished, due to the limits of airlifting construction supplies. Thus the SCT acted quickly, teaming up with the nearly forgotten Alaskan Railways to create a railway link between Anchorage and Shagrin. Western Kuskowim Mountain Range: And all the rest: Now that the rails were laid (through a rumored nine districts), the airport and other large construction projects could proceed. Aside from that, the opening of the Anchorage-Shagrin line opened up new possibilities for passenger rail traffic. After countless hours of research, a newly developed train rolled along the tracks: the Borealis. The train station now: The new Shagrin maintenance yard: A temporary solar power plant has been set up nearby. What will be built here? Find out in the next update… REPLIES Dantso: First reply again! Thanks for commenting as always! Camedia: Nah, one runway’s good enough for me Jacqulina: Thank you! A happy New Year to you as well! Nanumea: Thanks for the help! Yes, I was going for the regional/(local)international look. My airport’s not going to be available for a few more updates, due to the unfinished port area, and the fact that I haven’t decided exactly how much space I should spend. But do not fear, construction is underway Zelgadis: Don’t worry, no solviet jets here I’m afraid… And there’s less snow here than Anchorage, don’t worry Archangel9: ThanksJ They are Seahawkfan121: Thanks! Mjig_dudy: It’s still only a strip of asphalt Filasimo: Maybe in the next update… Fledder200: Glad you liked it! Cjah: The downtown is the only place I’ve built… Porter66083: Hehe Almond Thanks! Shiz: Thank you! Narya: Thanks Alfred.Jones: Hope this update is good enough for you?

UPDATE ONE POINT SEVEN FIVE (individual replies will be to the end of updates/teasers from now on) WASHINGTON DC- It was discovered that, up to this point, Shagrin’s commercial development was all sponsored to the government’s fishy “super demand act”, and not only that, the government was spending hundreds of billions of tax dollars on it. The president made a short apology and the super demand act was no more. Thus, the impact on Shagrin was great: Before, and After (with the mayor’s electronic planner). Less repetition! Skyscrapers stand out! The demand isn’t too low providing suburbs are virtually nonexistent! But still a long way from a metropolis Anyhow, Shagrin is currently working on America’s first serious high speed rail system attempt. And the Shagrin/West Alaska International Airport: The runways are mostly complete, but Developers are stumped. Someone help! Last but (hopefully) not least, a nite shot: Thanks! REPLIES Dantso: Glad you liked it! Hope this update is good enough for you Sunil: Hehe Thanks Filasimo: The newspaper may make a comeback… Jacqulina: Thanks Congratulations for the trixie as well Crazychickensc12: Glad you liked the development More is on its way! Alfred.Jones: Thank you! Archangel9: Thanks They are Schulmanator: Football_Fever: The freeways did take some time getting used to hehe RushHourFreak: Thank you! I know the buildings are way too repetitive, I’ll try to fix that Bat: Hehe Thanks! Zelgadis: It can’t possibly get any better, can it Jacqulina: Happy new year! Hawkeye9: Don’t worry I’ll update Goin2Chicago: LOL I thought that too That’s about it… (wipes sweat trickling down forehead) Oh, and if anyone is good at RMIP, please feel free to post a link to a screenshot of it. Those developers do need help

UPDATE ONE A team of explorers were set out to survey the area, and coupled with LANDSAT; they were able to make a 3D topographic “sc4region” render of the area named Shagrin. The first ships: Lots of yada-yada-yada and several months later, Shagrin was on its way to becoming a metropolis. City Highlights so far: Central park and SWW(Shagrin water works)reservoir Sunken highway turnpike And to sum it all up, a Nite Shot: (it’ll get better, I promise)

I like it the roof junk and the lighting for the shops' entrances are superb, but I agree about the textures

This Simtropolis-Japanese Website relationship seems like 2 distant planets are looking at each other through a telescope. Both groups are aware that they are being watched, but both are waiting for the day that someone from the "other side" will land on their planet and attempt communication. We come in Peace.quote> Well said. I think it's safe to say that they struggle with English almost as much as we do with Japanese, which makes the BATs themselves the main form of communication between the two communities. Be sure that they watch this thread though and are aware that a very large audience here at Simtropolis follows their work. There are also a few tutorials on the Japanese sites about how to register and navigate Simtropolis, similar to the guide I started here for the Japanese sites. Interestingly, the only person I know of who is able to participate actively in both communities is 2ch.net. simplayer, although Moshi has recently offered to act as a go-between in case anyone needs it.quote> Hehe If anyone would like for me to... er... be an astronaut, I'd be willing to do so -
Olympia is doomed! will they get to celebrate christmas peacefully? Find out in the next update...

If someone is going to download this one, please post a in-game picture of it.quote> Translation of the link(post within the link) as follows: This building represents Japan- any foreign Japanese travel guide would have this on their pages without exception (note:sarcasm). You otakus would know exactly which building this is, right boys (note:if you can get this one you're pretty good)? ***this is only an Akihabara-ish building and is not modeled after a real one*** Same as the chinese set, CS$$with growable and ploppable versions. The folk over at simtropolis don't seem to know Japan from China, I reckon they'll actually use it with the Chinese set... EDIT: Odainsaker: The name is indeed Isabe but the website name should be "Hibi Iroiro".
