i think the author was trying to be sarcastic which actually didnt come across well. i had to read it again just to be sure. If so then I agree with the article The main idea is not the worth of downloading the content or just beeing sarcastic about it. I think the author wants to underline the NEED to buy stuff (toothpaste or whatever) to make the game work by adding tourist or making your Sims happy...(do not be surprised if you get something *cool* for your university city if you enrol to a random college in the USA)...I'm not going to buy this sh*t... EA: you ruined one of the best franchises ever created and you still want to make us believe that WE are wrong...

I'm sorry for double posting: But I forgot something: What is the heroes and villians set? What's the relation with city building? Besides, I think the Price of the game is ridiculous: Is you want some variety, you have to buy the deluxe version for the German, french and british sets and it costs 82 euros and add the internet fee... I have never pay that much for a pc game...

Two things: the article starts talking about the focus on casual meaningless movil games/apps... It's clearly how this game is focused to this public and not to the real simcity player... Then, I really liked the last point: "it has been a while". They did not count SC Societies which in my opinion is corret beacasuse that game was not a real SC. I'm concerned about this new simcity not being a real simcity game. Its more like a Sims in a big enviroment. I don't really want to know where every sim goes, specially if that means that I'm no longer able to play a huge metrópolis... Detail in simulation in exchange for city size is not a good deal for me. (Sorry for my english)...

Simulation (not only for transport) seems awesome, but the graphics are aweful... Not much is going to change in the following months... the theme is definitely childish and cartoonish...

Hi, I found thousends of topics with this issue aswell as thousends of different answer. That's the reason I opened a new topic. I played simcity 4 deluxe with my old laptoc for almost 4 years without problems. A mounth ago I upgraded to a Dell Studio laptop with the following configuration: Windows Vista Home Premium SP: 2 (32 bits) Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz RAM: 4 Gb Video: Ati Radeon HD 4570 (512mb) I was able to install the game without problems. I'm able to go to main manu of the game but once I open a new city the game crush to desktop without any message or warning. Anyone has some advice or did found the solution for this issue with this kind of configuration? Thanx for your time guys! I'll appreaciate any answer!!!! PD: I tried with and without plugins
