  1. Bummer! Going through the thread I think the verdict is that the game messed up the saving process even back in 2011 ;( I'll have to dig through my cabinets (literally!) to see if I have any external drive that has saved game backups. Thanks everyone for taking a look though! Really appreciated for the help here.
  2. Hello!! I recently started to play SimCity4 again after a 4-year hiatus. The game crash to desktop when I tried to load one of the cities in my region. All the other cities loaded fine. I went through some threads in the forum and I suspected the latest updates to SimCity4 wasn't backward-compatible in some rare cases. The last time I was able to play this city on my Mac about 4 years ago. I ran into the same issue on both my 64-bit Mac and 64-bit PC Laptop. I have my SimCity4 Deluxe installed via Steam. Here's a summary of my systems and version of the game if it helps: Simcity4 on my windows laptop: SimCity4 Deluxe App ID: 24780 Build ID: 4644414, Windows 10, Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1035G4 CPU @ 1.10GHz, Microsoft surface Pro 7 SimCity4 on my iMac: SimCity 4 Deluxe Aspyr v1.2.1 Mac OS High Sierra, Intel Core i5 @ 3.1GHz, iMac mid 2011 No plugins installed I have included a DropBox link to the backup file of this city. This backup is the version of the city around 2011: https://www.dropbox.com/s/af7m7e7c9bhbhfb/City - Triloc.sc4?dl=0 Can anyone that has a SimCity4 without recent updates (i.e. installed on an old computer) try loading my city on your computer? Or any pointer to the tools that I can use to look into and fix the corruption on the save file would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
