LoL, two good questions. How do I do it? and Don't I have a job?....with such a long detailed CJ some must wonder what the I must do? Actually I'm a bartender that works days and I have a family aswell with a 19month old son. This city journal is 18months old this month. And only has a population of under 300,000. It took 4months to terraform and over a year of only laying roads. So if you take this amount of work and spread it over that time I actually only play it for a few hours a week. Mainly when its my day(s) off or when my Family is in bed later at night. I also quit my other 4 or 5 regions and don't play any other video games....just mainly mess around with Edmonton while watching TV at night. None the less there has to be a few people out there that think I'm nuts taking a few years of gaming just to make one region. Anyways thanks for the questions. I like getting questions about how the City Journal is made.

newyorkrunaway : The picture server that Feepa used for that went down. So we didn't try it again. I know its probably simple but I haven't tried off site picture hosting yet. Maybe later tonight or tomorrow I'll try and load up a few pictures and then link them up. The full size region views show alot more. Thanks for the request.

February 1st This is a rare look at an entire finished strip. This is a view of Fox Drive and the Whitemud Creek meeting the North Saskatchewan River. Picture #1 - The Whitemud Drive heading north into the river valley and meeting Fox Drive, then crossing the river at Quesnell Bridge. To the left is the enterance to Fort Edmonton Historical Park. Included is an old steam locamotive and track. Picture #2 - This is where Fox Drive meets the Whitemud. Also in the bottom of the picture is a small farm in the WHitemud Ravine. This is also where the Whitemud Trail begins if you can see it to the left of the farm. Picture #3 - In this picture you can see some small farms. In real life Edmonton these are actual ranches for people who want to have horses in the heart of the City. Also shown is Keillor Road which was shutdown in the 90's for its over use. It is now part of the Trail system threw the river valley. Picture #4 - In the extreme bottom right view of this picture is the NW corner of the University of Alberta farms. This is also where Fox Drive meets Belgravia Road. This is a small example of where this city journal is heading as small areas become complete. I want to show nearly every area as it is in the Real Edmonton as this Region grows in the game. Any questions please ask.

I've been working alot in filling in all uncompleted areas in the Southwest. If you notice theres a large difference and the area looks alot fuller. The large gap along the river is the last major area I need to fill in for this area to be finish for the roads. Next should be the South East area of Edmonton to be complete. Millwoods has a few areas that need to be filled in for that area of the map to be finished. Then on to the northside which has alot of work to be done on it. I've also started working on the Whitemud area where it crosses the river. Fort Edmonton has started up to. But along the river valley and Whitemud creek I've done alot of Terraforming. Hard to notice but the area is even more accurate now.

Thanks organicsabre, but if you are in the US you wont find Edmonton. Its the Capital of Alberta in Western Canada.

Davidhogan : The map I'm using is from 2003 so there are some areas that have been built, are being built, and will be built. Some areas are at each stage. But I plan on building anything that is planned for the near future. And from Satellite maps I have already expanded current projects on the West End. I should be releasing more comparitive Sat pics soon along with in game photos aswell.

Jarcher : I probably will do Century Park. I am doing most planned projects for the city. Anothony Henday Drive for one, and just tonight I laid the LRT all the way to Heritage anyways. I'm really happy the project was approved. It should be a nice addition to the south side. Here is a preview of Century Park. http://www.westbankcorp.com/mixed.cfm?projectid=25&PID=3 https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Century%20Park.JPG align=baseline>

January 27th I've put down some more roads along the south end of the city. As you can see the area the cities South and West bounderies are taking shape. In the next few days I should finish Millwoods aswell completing Almost all roads on the South Side of the city. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Edmonton%20Jan27.JPG align=middle>

I've done alot of work on the roads in Southwestern Edmonton. I want to begin finishing more of the road network just for the fact people see the true size of the city. There is alot to do along the southern border. Alot in the NW and whole North stretch. NE Edmonton has alot to be added to it aswell. But SW is becoming alot closer to completion. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Edmonton%20Jan26b.JPG align=baseline>

The CN Tower - Edmonton Built in 1966 and at the time Edmonton's tallest building. The CN Tower is now the 10th tallest building in Edmonton at 111m/364ft. Also at one time the tallest building in the world to have CN as its name. Not the best looking building but anyone from Edmonton has a special place for this in there heart as a local landmark.

January 23rd Update I've been doing alot of work along Anthony Henday Drive which is the West part of Edmontons developing ring road. Also just west of West Edmonton Mall threw to the city limits. A few new housing areas and farms populate this area. Here are a few pictures of the road network in that area of Edmonton.

Ther are some great eye catching pictures in this region. the region view is very realistic. I can respect that alot. And the European style bats look great. This region really gives the feeling I think your looking for. Only a page long and I found myself looking at this CJ for some time. Keep up the updates.
