Also, Robbie Robb, I am VERY interested in exactly how you managed to get SC4 to run at your own resolution. Do you think you could clarify a little more and maybe provide some links?quote> I've already filled Tim in on this, but for any others that are wondering. SimCity4 has support for custom resolutions. I found this little tidbit in the list of switches over at EA's SimCity site. There are two switches you need: -CustomResolution:enabled (other option is 'disabled') -r So my switches look like this: -CustomResolution:enabled -r1440x900 -introff According to the documentation the -r only needs to be set once but I just leave it in. Why bother editing a shortcut that works just fine?

I'm playing on an HP zd8225ca widescreen notebook. I've got it running with pretty much all the settings at max in full screen mode. I'm using the forceres switch so that the game runs at the notebook's native 1440x900. It works BEAUTIFULLY!
  3. Swamper77 Seaport Support File - issues

Ah, thanks for that. I've never really paid much attention to my seaports before last night so I never even noticed the lack of crash detection. Great work on these plugins! Thanks for providing things like these for us people with no modding/BATting skill whatsoever.
  4. Swamper77 Seaport Support File - issues

I'm running into a small problem with either the Seaport Support File or the Additional CDK Seaport that you've provided. The problem is: the ships have ZERO crash detection. They cruise through each other, the seaports, and some coastal land. As for the earlier mentioned (REALLY OLD) thoughts of having a limit. I don't think it's four or five. I've currently seven or eight seaports and it's running fine (well, except for the crash detection) Although it is kinda funny to see these giant cargo ships steaming full ahead for land.
  5. Show us your airport!

I just stuck a "01 " (minus the quotes and yes, I did put a space in there) at the beggining of the Swamper folder that was originally named 'ZZZZ ...' so now it starts like this: '01 ZZZZ'. Note: I only did this with Swamper's airport file. His seaport file is still a folder that starts with 'ZZ'. The odd thing about it is that Swamper indicates that his file has to load last, hence the folder designation of ZZZZ. Loading it first solved my problems though.

Whenever I went to plop plain tarmac, grass filler, or ATC towers, the game would just dump to the desktop. I then found a reference in the other SWAP thread that mentioned a potential solution if you're using Swamper's airport fix. You need to rename the Swamper folder so that it loads BEFORE the SWAP folder. I did this and haven't had ANY problems with it since.
  7. HOV Lanes?

Search for Traffic in the STEX. It's part of Big Red Fish's Traffic Control Pack. There's an add-on to it by someone else that includes designating passenger and freight trains only as well.
  8. Corner Gas

    Gotta love this. Most awesome.
  9. OneLondonPlace

Another Londoner chiming in here! Excellent work! I saw the link and thought "Could it be??? Nah...must be something from across the pond" but to my surprise it was what I had hoped for. Will be prominent in many of my cities from here on out!
