  1. Sparkin' and smokin'

Hey guys, I've played SC4 since '04 and just last night I saw something I have never seen before in the game; Electric wire polls were sparking and smoking, as if they were shorting out or something. But it seemed as if the flow of power wasn't changed. What does it mean when it does this, and how is it that I have never seen this before in all my three years of playing the game? Thanks for your time everyone. Reno

Rustalots advice is great. Subways are awesome in reducing traffic, so are bus stops in a way. Be careful when building your Subway, or bus system. I didn't really know how a subway system worked until I went to Montreal this July. I actually got on a subway for the first time and checked out the map, and trust me there are LOTS of stops. I'm not saying you have to makes alot of subway stations, just start out in the mainly high traffic areas. My first successful subway involved one line of subway pipe and four subway stop. I placed one right by the main residential zone, one by the smaller Comercial area, one by the larger comercial area, and the last one by the large industrial area. It worked like a charm
  3. Only just purchased game and im already stuck!!

Yeah don't go with high capacity anything yet. Start off small, I like to start off with regular streets, then when they are congested I upgrade them to roads. I don't normally go from Roads to Avenues until traffic gets REAL bad (and I mean 405 Freeway stop and go bad). Also be careful when building highways. You wont need them for a while, and when you DO need them them try to place them around high traffic areas.
  4. INFO: Map Installation Instructions

Hello everyone, I must be blind, or something because I hit Shift Ctrl Alt and R and it worked and all, but I cant find the file I need to load now heh. I followed the instructions but when I looked for the file I couldn't find it, in fact I couldn't find the folder My Documents from that little screen either, and I couldn't navigate it to find My Documents any where. Anyone have any ideas?
