    I finally sorted it, I selected 24hr radical automa in the traffic tool. I re-installed this again and it sorted it. There were no cars heading home at night, only the one direction. Glad its now sorted. Sorry for wasting time.

    Recently installed NAM and the traffic simulator configuation tool. Have noticed however, that I only get traffic going into the city all the time, with no one commuting home. Can anyone help?
