So this is me just playing around with the colors: You could call it a tribute to Art128. The green color is taken from one of JR East 719 i did in Volume 05

Bombardiere's London/ English Bats
vester_DK replied to Bombardiere's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
As I think it a big shame not to add that gridient to the textures on your bats... Here comes a little tutorial on adding the gradient to the textures. Open up a brick texture in Gimp: Then I add a new layer on top of it and add a gradient: Then click on the small arrow down to change the blending mode of the new layer to Multiply: (multiply darkes, but keeps the tone of the color) Set the opacity to somewhere between 30-60 pro cent: Result with 50 pro cent opacity: If you want to cover a hold house that is higher than the texture, I would enlarge the canvas and then just copy the texture down. That took me 20-30 minutes to figure out. -
Thank you, T Wrecks. Started working again on old project: Still a work in progress. The shadow at the bottom more or less mark what is almost done. Still no texture on the pantograph.

With some good help from Noah (noahclem), rivit, simcoug and Matt(threestooges) I got through the testing and checking the mods, installer and readmes. Thank you. Thank you. Now its time to hit the sc4d exchange:
-
Thank you all. Have finished the two readme's and the first installer, the one of the engines. Second one I need to figure out what the structure is going to be. Another teaser: A Texas & Pacific and a Missouri Pacific engine. Have done both engines in the two color sets.
-
You and a lot of others. Been wrapping up the engines, correcting the models and the textures: Time to work on the two readmes (for engines and for cars). The readme for the cars is almost done. Just need to add the new engines to the text.

Great Northern, Empire Builder.

Here are one more engine: Chicago South Shoe Line.

Sorry to hear about your keyboard. Maybe its time to get yourself cover for it. There are some modding behind this, but there is no way of controlling how the trains mixes the train cars. To bad. At least it would be a treat to could control some aspects of it, but no. So if you want to have to two trains from different railroads to pas each other, the only way to do that is throught Photoshop/Gimp and programs like that. Like on this image with two Chicago Northwestern engines, where the colors has been updated: Could wait for the two trains to pass each other, so zip-zip.... Been working on some extra engine fitting the colors of train cars: Maine Central .... and a train in colors to blend into the surrounding: Satremento Northern (a subsidiary of Western Pacific) inspired by this picture: ...colors you also saw on Western Pacific engines. Quiet fitting to think that in Volume 9 had a Satremento Southern engine in colors Southern Pacific Lark.

Think its a weird slope thing. First a picture taken by Simcoug: Milwaukee Road with a engine from Tennessee Central. Baltimore and Ohio: Lackawanna: For all three mods there are fitting engines in Volume 10: Milw A, Milw B, BO and EL.
-
Good news on that front: You can use additional cars from both in the modern style and the vintage style at the same time. Half way with the modding by now. Here is a picture of the Atlantic Coast Line:
-
Louisville & Nashville and a Wabash engine. Chicago Northwestern.
-
Going to the area around Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan ect: SOO-Lines and a few alternative engines. Maine Central and a few alternative engines.
-
Chicago, Burlington & Quincy: Also known as Q, mostly Burlington Route. This is where the B in BNSF railways comes from. (BNSF = Burlington Northern Santa Fee)
-
A new color scheme, Long Island RR: This time with two new engines from the same RR.
-
Yes I have. Not by change, but a lot of work...... Check out my showroom.
-
Finally got the mods to work, starting over with the modding. Here are some in game pictures:
