I doubt they will add new resources. Game can barely manage itself with the resources available. I would like to see more factories (not OmegaCo) that can produce stuff. Why can an Oil Refinery only make Fuel and Plastic, but no Kerosine to full nearby Airports and Space Centers? I really would like to see upgradable great works. Imagine a combination of the Space Center with City of Tomorrows, have a region wide mission to build a Lunar Base. Which needs various researches being complete on both the University and Academy. It's something they really missed out on.

Smelting Factory - Should I build x4 Metal or Alloy Furnaces, or both?

Tech is bugged. I unlocked Processor Plants with just having 1 School and 1 High School. 1 Hat, 1 Tech Level.- 4 Replies

Update/Patch 9.0: What Do You Want To See? (NOTE: OUTDATED!)

After tinkering around in Sandbox the past few days to come up with a nice design for a new city I really wished there was a button in Sandbox with the option "Reset city to default". After a build and a 0% tax simulation sometimes the design doesn't work out or look any good and I don't want to crash the region... -

If you plan on building 4 different Smelting Factories I would go with two Factories with 4x Metal module, and two with 4x Alloy Module. Make a Trade Port with 3x Metal Storage, 3x Alloy Storage and keep producing till the Factories say storage is full and than start selling at midnight. This will, no doubt, unlock your lv3 Metal HQ. An other option, which I liked to use in the past, is to produce as mentioned, contantly sell the Metal you produce (should be like 100 tons a day) and import Plastic with it (Plastic usually is 22-28k per 1000 crates, Metal sells for 28-34k per 10 tons) to make Processors/TV/Computers. As a third option; plot Omega Factories to extract Raw Ore and Oil from your city and produce Processors with the previous method, sell everything you don't need and store the Processors if the Omega plant don't require them yet (only need if you have a Drone Factory). Once you have the Drone Factory unlocked the combination of Processor production, Alloy Production and the small profit off Metal incoming being bigger than Plastic import and the profits Omega is making you'll be on a big stack of cash to build w/e you want.- 4 Replies

SimCity 4 or SimCity (2013)?
Genosha replied to GeometryMath Algebra's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
I disagree with many of your "7 Deadly sins" you have listed. First of all, multiplayer is not forced. Its an option. If you wanted to play with other people then join a region the someone else has made. If you don't want to play with anybody, simply put the region on private. That simple. Hmm, yes. Sounds simple, but the inter-city simulation doesn't work if you control all cities in the region. That's the only flaw about it. You can build a 14 city region on your own, but it will never generate the same worker/tourist flows as a region with 14 cities by 14 owners. The real flaw on the 'forced' multiplayer is that people just leave the region after 2-3hrs of playing, abandoning their plots with no option for the region owners to reset that plot. I hate claiming abandoned cities in regions and finding out the previous owner poluted 50% of the ground and maxed out all bonds. There is no way you can recover from that unless you destruct everything (causing more popultion) and trying to start from 0 without any funds. All the other Sins mentioned by Mr Saturn are caused by (in my opinion) EA and not Maxis. If Maxis would've been in full control SimCity development would've been way bigger with and more complex with probably more standard options. But EA are greedy dogs wanting to make money out of DLC and expansions. I think the Cities of Tomorrow expanasion should've been a natural result of extended gameplay in one city by gaining high education, tech levels and money. My vote goes for SimCity over SImCity 4. SimCity 4, just the core game, has a way to high learning curve to start off with. A lot of time is needed to get things going. Unlike Sim City 3000 which was way easier to get started with and buld a succesful city. -

I hate not having subways ever since the beta and I accepted I would never see them in game. The things I really want to so (sadly forgot to tick the box): - A(n) (expendable) museum. Expandable with wings when upgrading. Preferably with the plot size of a High School so it can fit in better than those churchers that are a bit bigger than a normal square block. - A zoo. I know a zoo is perfect DLC material, but it would've been so nice if I could drop a Zoo in the central of my Tourist city. Many European cities have Zoo's in city center and I hate missing them. - More European landmarks. What also would've been nice if the city plots would've ruins and land marks of their own showing i.e. older castles and having some feeling of not touching virgin lands every time playing.
