this is pretty darn cool. im new and still exploring this site, but this is now the inspiration for every one of my cities. I wish i could download and learn how to use plugins better... i really will start looking thru the city journals now. they are amazing. maybe someday when i am satisfied with my plugins i will make a CJ. for now... i have this

I think you stumbled upon the SimCity 2013 forum instead of SC4 which would certainly explain why none of this makes a great deal of sense! In case you wanted to know great works are large projects that a number of cities can contribute to completing for mutual benefits. City hall is an upgradable government building that you get far sooner than in SC4 (I seem to recall a courthouse or something similar you got as a gift at some point). Gifting is a broken part of the multiplayer aspect of the game. As an example I would be able to gift you money for a new fire station if you needed it. The lizard is a disaster. Think Godzilla but not as good. Also the university and many other building have modules that you can add to them to improve function or unlock new buildings. The university has several and so does the oil well. The oil well is part of the specialisations that you can utilise to make further simoleons. Thanks, I was a bit confused. It's kind of hard to tell which game is being talked about.

My game crashes sometimes now that I have the NAM. I put a tram puzzle piece next to an el station on then BAM! my game crashes. now i hear this is commonplace, but I would still like to identify the cause. is this a memory deficiency? Hi, I just joined this excellent site 2 days ago and I am still soaking in all the information that is available here. I think the pinned topics about new members are excellent starting points, and I have learned a lot from them. I currently own only the vanilla (breaking out the new terms here!) version of Simcity 4. I learned about this game from a friend who owned Deluxe. I have seen all that Deluxe has to offer and I have decided that I would like to buy the game. However, this raises a whole host of troubles. So, I will state all the questions I could possibly think of. On the site simcity.com, the site seems not to refer to the game as SimCity 4, nor SimCity Cities of Tomorrow, but simply as SimCity. Does this refer to the original SimCity (as implied by the name SimCity 4), the general SimCity games, or something other? If it refers to the the general SimCity games, then does that mean that any custom content on the exchange on this site would work with that ubiquitous SimCity? What is meant by Cities of Tomorrow expansion pack? Is this a whole different game? Is it something that I download to my plugins folder? Does it only work with deluxe? Also, the other content that is sold on there, is that available on this site? Is it made the same way or quality as on this site? Is it worth buying that content? Does that content actually improve the game? More questions, just general ones: Does downloading the game or content onto a Chromebook work? Can I download the Mac version onto an iPad or iPhone? Could I download the game onto an Android tablet or phone? Is the Origin site promoted by EA as the link to getting the content on the site simcity.com leads to the Origin site for purchasing content? Do the Origin versions come prepatched? I know this is a lot of questions, and if I could get an individual answer for each one, that would be great. Does it work on a Chromebook? Does the expansion pack work with my plugins folder? Is Origin better than Steam, and will I be able to get all that the site simcity.com is offering for sale to me on Simcity 4 Deluxe? Those questions still might seem a bit too much, but that is basically the gist of what I am asking. I think a handy pinned topic would be extremely detailed instructions on an experienced member downloading the game onto a PC, Mac, or Chromebook. While I'm on the topic, does a Chromebook count as a PC? Does anyone here use a chromebook? hey, the links for the bat and lot editor and plugin manager are all outdated. i get a 404 error going to the page and the same error when my browser (chrome) tries to get an error document. could these links be updated or the files themselves uploaded right into this website? i would like to try one of these building editors but if I cant download then I cant try them. thanks.

Being a new user, a couple questions on this page: what are great works? How do you build a city hall, and send gifts? Is this for deluxe not vanilla? How do you upgrade a university and other buildings if they are ploppable? Do oil wells already come with the game on deluxe or vanilla, or are they bats? What the heck is this giant lizard? I probably have a couple more, but I can't remember them right now. Thanks for all this info, maybe I will provide a piece of info. Also, for those unscrupulous people, or those who enjoy lots of easy money, I have successfully used the money tree to get 4.3 billion simoleons, and will upload it to the exchange if I find it is not on there. Thanks for replying fast. I think I will download the digital version. I currently have the play CD, so this should be a lot easier. While I'm asking, would the digital version work if I downloaded it onto a Chromebook?

Hey, about upgrading to deluxe-- can really detailed instructions be provided? Is the deluxe upgrade available as a patch, or do I have to buy the CD and reinstall the whole thing? If possible, I would like to continue using my old vanilla game, but if I can't access all this site has to offer, I want to upgrade. So, could you reply to this with those instructions and I would really appreciate it. Also, would I be notified through my email if this post got replied to? Just wondering.
