Note: Co-location of the Water Pumping station next to the sewage plant requires that you destroy the default generic water pump that is put there and build exclusively water filtration pumps. It costs a bit more, and the filtration pumps are a little bit bigger but it is well worth the never ending cycle of water you get out of it.

Unable to build Great Works, resources not received

Parenzo had the correct answer but put it inside of the BBcode reply so it is a little hard to spot. You need to set up one (or more) of your trade depots with resources that the great works site requires and set it to "Use Locally". These resources will then ship slowly over time to your great work site. -
With the money being fixed at $3 per job, and agents randomly finding new homes each time they return from work... A) Can this the "We need more money" complaint even be fixed by a SimCity Mayor? B) Is there any reason to worry about the "We need more money" complaint? Personally, I have largely ignored this as sooner or later it all kind of fixes itself in the form of the building being abandoned or an agent returns to that building with some pay.

Have high tech industry, but can't build processor plant

No. You seriously need 5 MEDIUM tech level industry buildings. You CAN NOT fulfill the requirement with higher tech industry. If you jump from High School to University most of the time your industry will skip medium tech. My best method to avoid this and unlock the requirement is place the Community College near the industry that you zoned so they will upgrade to medium. Unlock the requirement and then upgrade to a University and destroy the Community College. -

Glad to hear that this option is being included. Nothing ruins your day more than having your city hall get smacked while you went downstairs to get a drink. EVERYTHING in the darn city turns off. Sewer, Power, Univ, Advanced Fire, Medical, Police.... sigh... it was a mess. -
Trade "Top Goods" vs Monthly Transactions

I think this is the case of the depot delivery bug. Where items that are in transport to a location upon arrival can not offload the goods, have the truck turn around and go back to the depot and dump the goods and they are lost. If you watch your deliveries very carefully you will notice this happening. The only way I can get around it most of the time is to space my smaller depots out for "import" only business. But the issue still comes up now and then when there is an agent sent from a farther depot and that ones gets to the business ordering the goods first and fills up the warehousing space. The second one arriving on the scene, turns around, goes back to his depot, dumps the goods into thin air, and then grabs a new load of stuff. It's pretty dang ugly. This should be fixed to allow a scenario like this for the truck to wait to for warehousing space to open, OR it has a secondary place where the goods can be delivered. -

Well if you think about the saved offline things it makes complete sense. There is NO WAY that all the developers working in independant project areas before the "Online" team was ready were just turning the game off each time and then starting from scratch the next morning when they come back to work. -
Just in case I missed it... Maxis Man disable?

Hello, In case I missed it, how do I get my city to stop asking me to plop down Maxis Man and his evil nemesis. I want to play SimCity not Hero's and Villians (or enact Batman...). I know I can just not do the little quest or ignore it. But frankly I am getting tired being asked by some sim every 10 minutes to bring on Maxis Man. Is there a way to just tell my city, I don't want these two dumb things, not now NOT EVER? -
Is it just me or is Great Work construction completely borked?

That sounds about right. Just about anything dealing with moving materials around at the regional level seems to have odd syncing bugs. My favorites are when you send materials to one city and you stay there and you watch it tally up in the recieving cities inventory.... you would think you can go over and use it. Nope. Jump over to the other city and its like you never did anything. Honestly, this kind of stuff shouldn't be going through the SimCities servers. They should keep that stuff local (at least for private regions) and take some load off of the service machines.- 8 Replies

I have seen that message to and there are no fires at all, and nothing has burned recently enough to even be in the fire station stats any longer. Just ignore it. Unfortunately. =/ But, hey... maybe they mean your "City is on Fire!" - Like it was a good thing. As in your City is doing well. Pfft! *grin* -
Possible to export and use coal locally at the same time?

You don't even need the two trade depots. What occurs is your city resources are fulfilled first by the mine delivery trucks and then all trips after that go to the trade depot. If you are looking to stockpile in your city and export... then unfortunately you do need the two trade depots as there is no way to seperate the what action you wish to perform 'export or use local' on each storage ploppable, only as a group for each resource type.
