  1. I like it!

I agree with the sizes of build space completely. Way too small and just square. That's boring. The multiplayer seems quite buggy as well. My 2 roommates and I have been playing in a region since launch. I researched some projects at my School of Science at the University. My one roommate could build the new solar panel almost instantly. My other roommate didn't get the "Not Approved" flag lifted for upwards of an hour. Also, the sharing of resources like buying power off one another doesn't make a lick of sense to me. I could only buy 1.4MW of power for something like $3 and hour or whatever while I was in a deficit of -75MW and my buddy was producing over 200MW extra in stock. It just doesn't make sense to me at all. In multiplayer cities just seem really, really out of sync. Hopefully this clears up as the game is out for a bit. Also, I wonder if one player is playing on Cheetah speed and another on Turtle speed, if your cities become out of sync due to the calendar time. Just a thought. Anyway, still having fun! Cheers!
  2. Optimal road spacing

I'm pretty sure I read early on that they were designing it for mod-ability. I believe the source was closely connected to development. Oh awesome! I remember hearing it was going to be the same kind of package files or something that we were already used to modding in SC4. Hopefully they stay true to that! Thanks for the info
  3. Day 1: tips and tricks

Make sure to put your sewage outage pipe next door to your elementary school. This teaches the children early that sewage is a serious bummer and they will use the bathroom less throughout their adult lives.
  4. Optimal road spacing

Are mods really inevitable? Pretty sure with the amount of server-side work that is required for the game, modding won't be possible. I hope though
  5. Discussion about City Tile Size

I'm really, really addicted to the game no matter what. But I am really feeling the cramped space grow on me quick. I agree with everyone that says "what's the point of curved roads if grid style is the most efficient". I found myself enjoying the curved roads, then quickly realizing that I have no space and need to just go back to grids. Also, why in the world would you make every single build-able area a perfect square? My god that is boring. Once you find an effective way to build a city in a perfect square, why falter too far from that?
