the only way is get the Electronics HG upgrade you will need I believe or 4 million in goods. I have a shortcut to do that I found out by using this quick cheat. Since you are at that stage you should have a decent bank. Make annother Trade Port. Make all six lots for computers and . Set them to use locally and watch them fill to max capacity and when the plants are full and maxed you change the Depots to export. - turn your speed to cheetah and watch your bank grow in the millions. After they are emptied you should see the upgrade on Electronic HQ. Then you will have the TVs which is the second building. The third is not necessary if you have upgrade your trade HQ because it will give you the additional lots in your Depots. Create lots for your TVs and Do them the same way and you will see profits go as high as 10 - 20 million each time... Have fun

The ground scrubbers are only available with the level 4 upgrade of the Academy. But once you get them they cover a lot of area. You can insert them and turn them off when your pollution is gone. Now if you are in a hurry plant trees and about 50 years Sim Time the pollution will be gone. BTW don't put any residential lots on bulldozed industrial lots or you will have lots of sick sims no matter how many hospitals you have. Plus as a tip go to the same menu you check for pollution and check the wind direction.. Utilize that when you assign type of lots. Keep your industrial downwind of the wind will carry pollution over your city. They same applies to towers. Keep them upwind from any pollution source or you will have them leaving in droves..

First of all you need to make sure you have a trade depot which comes with a freight lot. On the Trade Depot you are limited to 4 lots and the Trade port the limit is 6. If you have any resources such as Ore, Oil, Plastic, Alloy, and Metal you will need lots to hold the processed goods . With the smaller depot create lots for Alloy and Metal and Plastic if you are able. Add all 4 trucks and they will move the goods for you between places. You will get plastic, Alloy, and metal if you create a recycling plant and add the additional lines. Be sure and have a few trucks for each so that they can transport the goods. And in the both ports go to the sub menu and either make each lot local or export. And if you need a resource create a lot and make that item import. But beware that will cost you to import and profit you when you export.. Check your budget menu and see where your bank is going. And if your cash is shown in RED you are losing cash which can bankrupt a city quickly. Just build moderately and you will be fine...

Yes you can build without the extras and have a normal city. Since you are new to SC2013 you should experiment without the add - ons included in cities of tomorrow. Or go to the forums for lots of tips to build your city. I would recommend trying in sandbox and or single player mode till you get the hang of things.

No it was not fixed with the 7 patch. I actually stopped sending goods to my great works because of the error until after the latest update. In the older version it did work until the updates.. Hopefully the functionality of the great work sites should reflect on your region. BTW when I stopped sending goods buy changing the trade ports from locally to export to export my profit margin increased considerably and I have amazed a great deal of cash in the process. So in my next region I start I will create a city with a lot of trade ports for storage from my other cites and have the resources when I decide to build a new works site. How you get past that is to make sure that is is broadcast in the announcements on the top of the screen. Once it will show the great works then It will appear in a cloud of smoke.. And that may take a few days of Sim Time on your city. What I do is run my cities at max speed when I open to get past the announcements to see what has progressed in your region. Running at max speed can also alert you on changes within your city that can be addressed sooner.

After the update yesterday I was and are able to access the great works with all cities in my region. Before you could only see the Great Works with the city you started with. You have to have the other cities open for a few hours of Sim time before it would appear but It did at the level of completion for all cites. So far I have not completed the great works to see if it will work with all cities

Welcome to the world of server technology. Yes it is a server and you won't get the full power until you install the drivers for all the items with the check marks. Any Windows Server version should have the drivers. If you have problems do go into the cmos and disable the raid to use as single drives. It may and more than likely was set up for raid 0 or 1 And you would have to load the raid drivers before you installed the OS. I have a raid system ( raid 10) and it is unsurpassed. With the dual zeons rendering video files were quick. But working with raid can be tricky and disastrous if you don't know what you are doing. I use my raid system for storage of valuable files. But now with faster multi core processors on the market you will get just as good results with less headaches. The mainboard is still available online starting at $300. You must build memory evenly in both banks and use the same type equally. Since you have two processors all your PCI-E slots and controllers are recognized. If you do Raid you must have equal hard drives and make sure the are raid compatible drives and buy all from the same lot if possible. Although most software will only use one of the processors and only a few will use both. There are many games that do use both and you will definitely notice the difference is graphic rendering. Go with a high end PCI-E Video card if one is not all-ready installed. Mines is so fast that I haven't seen and hour glass in years.. Looks like you are stuck with the upgrade... Hopefully If you really are desperate buy another game and log on with a new user name and go from scratch.. Start a new private region and use both users in the region as a thought!

I name my cities accordingly. When I start a region I may name them east (your city), west city, north city, and south city. It makes it easier when switching between cities and comparing. Because on the region view will show other region cities and using that system you know which ones are accessible to each other. That works great when gifting to a sister city. you are limited to the ones connected by the Highway and that is no more than three or four cities each. Or even in the name use the resource such as Oilville, Oreville, and Coalville to name a few..

When you Omega reserves are exhausted and your region has no more try going back to a non-omega city. Hopefully you will have amazed a nice bankroll. Bulldoze all those abandoned buildings after you have turned off the omega facilities and your new buildings should be omega free. Omega is like an addiction... You will never have enough to satisfy your city. I find that in one of my regions now even with the max plants churning away. I am banking my profits and will start new with a big bankroll and hope that works... One other option is the plan ahead before you build your region and make each city dedicated to one resource so that they will trade with each other and set you trade depots accordingly..

Though my trial and errors I have found out that you must build your towers upwind or you will have sick sims.. Locate your industrial zones at the egde downwind so the pollution will go off the grid. It will not affect neighboring cities.. And if you add some $$$ parks around the base of the towers so that the towers base will be in the high wealth zone around the park will encourage growth and happy sims.

Ground scrubbers can be found in the waste link. And they do work fast... What I do is keep one next to my garbage dump and it cleans the area. I also found out that it works wherever you bulldoze a factory or any object that create high wastes. If I get a full dump I just bulldoze it and create another. plop a scrubber and it will clean up the ground pollution. NOTE: the scrubberrs will use controllnet so you will have to have enough avaliable or build some base stations to increae you controllnet. or buy some if some is avaliable in youyr region.

When you build the power plant It does take a while before it powers up. Try adjusting the speed to max and It will power up sooner. Plus It will energize modules slowly but will eventually do so. i always put my power plants, sewer at the edge of the city downwind.. To check your wind direction go to your sub menu and it will show the wind direction. That can be useful for zones . Never put a residential zone downwind from a industrial zone because you will have sick sims and buildings full of germs.
