  1. Anduin Valley Revisited

Hi John, It has been a while since I checked on AVR. Pim fell from the stairs last week Wednesday and of course it shook us all quite a bit, we needed to stay one night in hospital on Thursday for observation but were quickly fired on Friday (Wednesday evening we were still at home). Of course RL at work also took over and the huge amount of work the preparation for Christmas diner gives my wife and me. Luckily Pim did not suffer long from his fall and the subsequent concussion and went back to school yesterday, phew! So now I can chech on AVR again. Wow 2 updates. JUMMY! I like that grain storage silo (looking up Pedriana at google gives me quite nice pictures of Lesa Ann Pedriana and she has two nice silo's but I do not think that's what Nardo and Mayormummy relate to), one every now and then is not a big problem but 10-20 are I agree with the gentlemen. I love that cattle ranch. I guess that boy who is now playing with his kite (pic 12) is responsible for setting the cows loose? I love the way you handled the problem with the fields and that new cattle loading dock is great can I download it somewhere? (BTW thanks for that WW barn, I always skip the WW lots and hence I missed this one, thanks a lot!) being of an extreme conservative mind I opened AVR on Friday. Guess what, you posted on Thursday your update..... now I am realy confused....aaargh and that right before Christmas....aaargh.....cool down Nik-Nik!!!!!! It's Friday, and I enjoy your second update. Love the way you handled the kink; I realy, REALY had to look good to see the first one, you are a perfectionist John. Glad though you noticed the cow (well the kid did). Love the train station too. Have a great Holiday season John. Nik-Nik
  2. Anduin Valley Revisited

John, RL took over and I missed Friday's update, but now I have a great start of the week. It's also worth something. That vinyard looks very good. Good thinking and the parking lots are a good addition. Where did that barn come from. It is a plop or not? I like what you did with covering that bumb next to the barn. Very good thinking! I am jealous of Jacqui now. Can she supply my basement with Pinot Noirs (I love the scent of a pinot noir!). That yuppie area is nice. I immediatelly thought: "yeah right yuppies, so where do they leave their cars?" And then I saw the parking lots. John, you think of everything! That inner courtyard at the yuppie area with the fenced lots. Children's safety first! Very good thinking and they look nice too. the park is brilliant. It was easy to make but the way you laid down the park is stunning, particularily the diagonal road is very nice next to the diagonal cycling path. So X-mas decoration also started at your place. I got the tree in on Saturday, my wife decorated it with Jop and I went with Pim to the local pet shop to get a new bowl for the fish (I broke it while cleaning ). Have a great week, John. Nik-Nik
  3. Schulmania

Congratulations with your Trixie (I've lurked too much here I guess). Keep on with the CJ. Nik-Nik
  4. Far Away and Long Ago

I did it, I did it. I have come to the last page! It took me 2 more weeks (RL came in) but I did it! Great! What's next.......... Sjeesj I am outa CJ...... Bummer..... I enjoyed every inch of it.....(and I like the pics too). I wonder if that final watchtower of EHB isn't in fact a "Big Sting Device to Spike Hapless Aero Bladders That Come Too Close" or most probably in real good Pumpa language: a big SDtSHABTCTC (correctly pronounced as Shditsjhabtoctoc, please pronounce while drooling). Nik-Nik
  5. Three Rivers Region

Masterpiece (but you knew that already). I hardly ever give a 10. But what the heck it's Christmas season.

Beautiful romantic (if not a bit wet) site. Great work Jacqui. Nik-Nik
  10. Gold Depra - An Empire of Greed

Auch! Gold is on the move again. So what raw materials may be found in Grenda, Gas, oil, Gold, Uranium? What is the hidden agenda (there is always a hidden agenda, or not Mr. W. Bush?). I couldn't help thinking Tin Tin when I saw the rockets, but the pic is great! Great story. I wonder what the reactions will be of the other CJ's. Nik-Nik
  11. Three Rivers Region

David, I knew it, I KNEW IT. The moment my latest region starts to be fun you finish the regions of 3RR. What to do now, get rid of my great cities and download your region or continue playing. So many questions. I knew it, I should have stayed home and listened to my mother. This is what happens boys and girls if you do not listen to your mother: YOU WILL GET FRUSTERATED!!!! Look at those beauties of regions. Maybe one day (probably just before SC5 is released) I wil find the time to play in these regions. Great stuff David!! Nik-Nik
  12. Very nice. That nightpic of PNI is beautifull with the bright blue! Very nice down town area. That united Aircraft building is a good addition too. Nik-Nik
  13. Dutch Historical Warehouses

    Great work.
  14. Dutch Historical Canal House

I was wondering when this one would be made by you. Great stuff! How many residents?
  15. Two Dutch Shops

    As always. Brilliant.
  16. Bernauer Strasse

Great creation. Nice to think of a beatiful building in this way, that is making a kind of dilapitaed version. I love it.
  17. Anduin Valley Revisited

Thank you for that tranquil place next to the lake. I need some additional fences to keep Pim and Merijn from running into the water, but they will learn. Dwarf real estate agent? Well I guess it makes sense after all dwarfs are in it for the gold, and gold alone. Neat those CS$$$ I have them growing constantly in my R$ city as well and I need to buldoze them again and again. So it is nice to see them for once longer than a few seconds. That first police station pic. Must be a time of emergency judging from the chaos on the car park. ha, ha, ha. For that first grown farm you could use Jeronij's Tarmac roads. They look OK with t. Too late now I guess. The second is a no-no! Does not fit this place in this CJ. Splendid puzzle John! http://www.foon.co.uk got some great others too. Many hours of sheer puzzle leasure. Have a great weekend, John. Nik-Nik
  18. Basilica de Guadalupe

  21. Far Away and Long Ago

  22. Anduin Valley Revisited

Thank you John. I started this morning with GD and a cup of coffee and finish with a cup of tea and AVR. Jop and Pim do not understand why their names are on the computer screen on a train. Being a 5 and 6 years old can be confusing indeed. I have a new wall paper. Wanna see? Back to the CJ. Great Étienne's transport has turned out quite well. It looks magnificent. I am glad you thought of those truck drivers that need after a long day behind the wheel a good beer and ....eh....some....ehh....well let's say nature's best ehh that's not what I had in mind. One point of critism. I think that gray high building at the end of the parking lot is a bit too high. I would reccomend a 2 story high builing instead of 6 stories. But that's just me being silly I guess. Any house left over in La Plaisance Estate? What a marvellous place!. Gorgeous. I love the way you used the fences. It is a sign of your genius; even the little pedestrian bridge over the creek has a fence for entering the Estate. Perfect! That Lasse Gjertsen is some great musician. Crazy but great. Have a great weekend. Sinterklaas is coming to town (that is Sinterklaas not Santa Claus) This guy: he's giving away some presents to Jop and Pim and boy are they excited. Merijn joins the fun with shouting and cheering but hasn't got a clue what it is all about. This is going to be fun. Nik-Nik
  23. Three Rivers Region

Wouanagaine. Is. God. ...we are not worthy! quote> I though Will Wright was GOD? You're confusing me now David. Wouanagaine is great indeed! Nik-Nik
  24. Paradise Falls 1 created by jacqulina

Beatifull town you have created so far. Those 3x2 R$$ houses with the brown roofs are great indeed (I cannot remember the name but I know they are R$$ as this surprised me, you would thing R$$$). That car dealer annex farm machines dealer is great LOL. Pitty something went wriong with the street lot. That sand road does not connet well. Can that be helped or is that just the way it is? The night pics are tanquil. aahhh, lazy indeed, hand me over my slippers and a congac I am going to enjoy the sumer's eve on the porch. Nik-Nik
  25. Green Depra

Great relaxing view. I am at the start of my working day 8.30 and I poor in a cup of coffee and begin with Green Depra. I guess there is no better way to start one's day! Nice to see you dicovered the gold from the Netherlands too, if this is too cryptic: I love to see the lots of Harlemmergold in GD. Those waterlily's where are they from. I cannot remember seeing them anywhere before. Have a great weekend and do not get too depressed when working on that other Depra. Nik-Nik PS. so how did the exams go for you?
