Anyone that thinks that someone is going to setup their own server to crack this game is hugely mistaken, and without that, I can't see it being cracked. Yes, that's part of the appeal of always online for EA.
  2. Is SimCity that bad?

No it's not. Its a separate service that's needed to play the game. Its not the game. Spot the distinction?
  3. Is SimCity that bad?

So, let's pick some things apart. I'll not trust reviews on this at the moment. Diablo 3 is a good game. It got slated due to server issues in the same way. The reviews aren't of the game, they're of the service it runs on. With the car analogy above, the reviews at the moment aren't of the car itself. They're of the road its running on. The car might be the best supercar in the world, and just because you can't use it doesn't make it bad, it makes the road bad.
  4. A bigger problem with using SimCity in this way is the way that it totally ignores cycling. I'm now starting to wonder if a generation of city planners brought up on SimCity is one of the reasons that cycling facilities are totaly ignored in UK road designs...
